Improving Bans, Accounts and vote kicks (serious KAG issue)

This game is getting more and more griefers each day. They not only ruin gameplay but also vote kick innocent players.
Why is this? Because this game baning/voting system is fucking horrible. MM if you really want to get a hand on your game i advice you to move your ass the most quickly as possible.

Why does the vote kick suck?
-It sucks because its broken. Sometimes i want to kick a griefer but for some reason the vote doesn't work, and this isnt about the vote time limit. The box simply doesn't appear. Also, the system can be abused by griefers that cast a vote and become immune to others. This way they can fake reasons, kick a player, do it again, and the cycle goes on. They stay in the server while you get kicked. While the "If you leave now you get kicked" does work sometimes, it also hurts innocent people.

Suggestion: remove the vote kick system.
Or: improve the tab vote system. I also suggest you to change the name "kick" to "Possible Griefer/abuser". Right now, it takes about 2/3 tab marks to kick someone and most of the time, theres only one griefer per server, so it makes quite easy for regular players to spot them, kick them and not the other way around.


Improve Account Creation
-Right now, all we have to do is going to the website and register a account. It takes about 5 seconds. Theres no confirmation mail whatsoever. This makes even easier for abusers to create multiple accounts.

Suggestion: after registering, you need to go to your mail and click a link to activate your account. If you dont do this, then you cant play the game
Or: make the account active automatically after 1/2 days. Seriously is not that much, new players could wait. This would discourage griefers creating more accounts.
Or: limit accounts per IP. Im not saying one, but maybe 3 per IP. After that you couldnt create more.


Improve Bans (this really needs to be fix)
-IP Bans/vote kicks/tab kicks work for about 1 hour i guess. I think this value must raise, maybe 10 hours or even a day or more depending on the player. Griefers are little kids and most of them dont know how to avoid this particular type of ban. This also means that innocent players also might suffer, but in this situation, the server logs are important. One player could ask here in this site to be unbanned. The admin of the site/server would check the server log to see if he is telling the truth. Even if the player is a griefer and manages to overcome it (because we are talking about logs and not game vidoes) if he griefes again then theres no more doubts he must be banned permanently.

Suggestion: Full Game ban. Instead of server bans, you could get banned from the game for about a day or more. Also implement a demo/spectator system like on Soldat to make it easier to record abusive players.
Or: Mac address ban. This would basically ban a player forever. Like ive said, griefers are little kids. Even if they avoid the first type of ban, they cant avoid this one. Well maybe if they buy another modem/pc or something.
Also: Still let banned players buy Gold accounts. If a griefer cant play the game no more, even when begging to an admin, he still could buy a gold account. Why? Because this is more money for the developers and the only way to play the game again. Then the Ban would be erased. If he started griefing again, another permanent ban. Want to play more? Buy another account.
Or: Dont let them buy Gold accounts but make Gold Members immune to kicks/bans or the percentage required for them is higher. Im not seeing a griefer buying a gold account just to make him more hard to kick, he could still be perma banned by an admin or vote kicked.


Im just typing here so that the game devs think about it. Right now, a good game can be ruined by this kids, and sometimes i see one griefer kicking 4/5 players while he sits there in the server and the other players blindly press F12 for every "OMG GRIEFER" message. Popular players are more at risk because they know who are the griefers.
MM you should solve this situations.

 

Everything here has been discussed, several times. The devs already have a plan for everything. Please read before posting.

 

That is if they implement most of these in the next major updates.

All i see is people posting the same and i dont see anything in game. The devs arent working fast enough regarding these issues.
If you want the game to lose more players (wcih its happening already) then dont complain later.
Less graphics/eye candy, more work on this.

I have never in my whole life been kicked for "griefing". I've been kicked once, but that was because the other team genuinely thought I was hacking and well, that's an ego booster more than anything.

 

I bet it was. (I've never been kicked)
