I just found an exploit for making stone out of stone.
I'm posting here so devs can fix it.

    1) Make a room
    2) build a 5 tile high column of background wall
    3) remove bottom tile
    4) pick stone debris from the ground
    5) You have 10-20 more stone that what you started with.
    6) repeat!

    There is also another bug:
If you build a background wall on a tile that already has a ladder you use 0 stone.

I think the ladder "bug" is actually intended...but I'm not sure.

Is there any actual benefit to building a background wall behind a ladder?

    Don't ladders already provide support?

(Granted, it'd clearly be a bug if you can build the background wall for free, then deconstruct it to get stone.)

The benefit is if you take a piece of the ladder out the rest of it won't collapse.

Reinforced ladders give double protection. You gotta destroy the ladders before you destroy the background, and ladders break rather easy from catapult fire.

Never thought of it that way B3NW but you're right actually, ladders on background wall will delay the wall being destroyed.

Oh cool, that should make freebuilding much easier in single player.

The background wall takes many more hits from a sword. Both are destroyed instantly by bombs or rocks though.

The benefit of building the ladder first and then applying the background wall is that you dont use stone, just wood.

Oh dear. Michal must have overlooked this and made each of them spawn as much rock as looked dramatic, heh.

It's on the list of stuff to fix :)
