We really need a GUI interface for hosting servers, like most games there should be "host a server" button.
It has been years since I've been playing KAG and since then I didn't figure out how to edit the server config sheet.

Call me a dummy, but I'm pretty sure configuring Cisco devices is way less complicated to me.

Configuring the config is really easy once you try to understand what's written there. Also, as far as I am aware, there's explanations next to the variables explaining what they're about, making tools slower to work with.

Anyhow, I highly doubt there's ever going to be an official hosting tool or a function built into the game itself. There used to be some kinda program for classic (made by a community member), but that hasn't gotten updated in a long, long time, and as far as I know it didn't even work really all that great due to the size of the autoconfig.

Also, I'm not a programmer or IT/software expert, but I highly doubt that a game or program could port-forward by itself. And that is by far the most difficult part about hosting a KAG server.

I'd be glad to help you with hosting if you're actually interested right now, hit me up with a PM if you have any problems or questions.

Port forwarding is not an issue for me, I'm able to host a server and see it in the list. It appears as default server, but my main issue is in editing the script.

It would be nice if I could find pre-written server script, and just edit it for my need.

I just want to host simple CTF server with some custom maps.

Thanks for your help I appreciate it.

you can have a look on this, for an easier way to edit the server configuration and hosting it (tho I'm still working on tweaking it and making it better)
and about PortForwarding, u might want to have a look on this one.
