My server has been down for quite a while now, but for good reason. I am in the process of building a new computer and converting my old one into a dedicated server computer for only the server, (quite a beastly one as well). I understand that some of our regular players for the server will leave :'( . But I think that making an 8gb, quad core i7, beast of a computer the main server computer will benefit the server in the long run.

No, I am not wasting money on a computer dedicated to the server, I am simply using the old computer that I previously owned and converting it into a dedicated server, so that I don't kill my lovely gaming desktop by leaving it on 24/7 and letting it overheat with the server's workload. I may even be able to increase the number of players to 32 if I can set it up to be able to withstand that.

Thanks for not assaulting me with questions as to why the server has been down so long.

Sweet! But don't increase the player limit, lol. 32 is horrible, maybe host a second server instead.

 

20-24 is the best number of players, but even might be too much.
