When I play knight I always get the feeling that it's very random.
Sometimes I kill, sometimes I'm killed, but either way I feel it's not under my control.

Is it that I'm just bad and I don't get it or is a 200ms too much latency to play knight?

Let me tell you, when it comes to latency, no one is safe.
    133ms? Not safe against 300ms.
    466ms? Nope, 233ms!!!

KAG has a strange way of handling this, but it ends up with everything looking like it happens too fast or too slow because of frame allowance or some bs.

There is no latency adjustment at all in kag beta, due to the shitty performance of it in classic.

200ms is fairly high, but I often play with 200-300 due to US servers often being my best option for play, from Australia.

Playing knight at high ping is mostly about slashing earlier than you think you should, and not getting stunlocked by slash surfers. You can't rely on your shield as much, because it will be delayed serverside by whatever your ping is.
Playing aggressively is your best bet, but you'll still have trouble against low ping players.

I've heard things about laggy jabspam being very effective, but I've personally never had it work for me :^)

I'd consider anything above 300 unplayable, and anything above 100 (ie out of the country that the server is in) in similar "random" territory, with higher pings obviously lending more delay.

Also, when in doubt, stomp, just stomp.
I don't care if it causes fall damage, stomp-slashing is probably the most reliable kind of slashing you can do.

I suppose that explains why you have to slash so early when someone is falling on you.

Just to add to Geti's comments: 300+ ping is playable, but you just have to accept that you (and others on occasion) die a lot from crazy/random stuff. Ofc, crazy/random deaths that make it worth playing at such latency because it's pretty hilarious making people qq from your lagginess. 78787878

To be honest, I play on US servers during night sometimes and I can rack more kills in a single row with ping of 133 than on normal EU servers where I get 33 ping, it goes to show how it's all messed up when you dominate players on their native server where their connection is top notch and you are the intruder with bad latency issues.
The hitboxes simply shift due to latency and they don't line up correctly with sprite, so you think you might hit me but in reality it misses me, it's kinda like what Counter-Strike Source suffers from but it had to do with hitboxes being too big, so they made them smaller, it could make it harder in combat but also less prone to lag killing, because you have to aim more precisely, in kag it would mean need of better timing.
