    Hi all,

when i try and run the linux client i get the following output.

    bash-4.2$ ./rungame.sh

I am running Fedora 15 with nvidia drivers.

Anyone know how this can be fixed?

Are you sure that you have KAG executable?

He does, it would fail after 'mv' if he didn't (mv error here is normal btw). KAG logs never tell anything about actual problem, so I doubt we can help :/

Ok just tried on my linux laptop and it works. So there is something funky with the desktop. Is there a list of dependencies that KAG needs?

    For dependencies type:
    ld KAG

    You could try software mode:
    Edit KAG/scripts/autoconfig.gm

    global v_driver = 1;

You can also try turning off sound:

    global s_soundon = 0;

    Tell me what happened.

  6. Can you help me also? I'm having this trouble on my Ubuntu 11.04 (GNU/Linux 2.6.38-8-server x86_64) server.

    I get the following:
ld: i386 architecture of input file `KAG' is incompatible with i386:x86-64 output
ld: error in KAG(.eh_frame); no .eh_frame_hdr table will be created.
ld: warning: cannot find entry symbol _start; defaulting to 0000000000402930

Although it should work on an x86_64 server...

    Hey MM,

    Sorry about the late reply.

i am using a 64bit system which may end up being the problem.

i tried to run the ld KAG but i get:

    [mediabox@home kag_x]$ ld KAG
ld: i386 architecture of input file `KAG' is incompatible with i386:x86-64 output
ld: error in KAG(.eh_frame); no .eh_frame_hdr table will be created.
ld: warning: cannot find entry symbol _start; defaulting to 0000000000402930

    Same as NotoriousPyro.

When change to software mode the game runs fine though.

    Cheers,

    SimmyD

I have just put a fresh install of Fedora 15 64bit on my machine and i am still getting the segfault. the LDD is the same as above. Is there anyway to find out what 32bit things i am missing?

I am sure i am not the only one having this issue.

  14. I found that this sorted it for me, install ia32-libs. Type the following in terminal as root (sudo, etc).
    For debian distros (Ubuntu, etc)
    apt-get install ia32-libs
    For RHEL distros (CentOS, etc)
    yum install ia32-libs

I'd be glad to know if that seems to be a global fix for 64bit systems, if anyone else could test that I'd be grateful.

I'm on 32 bit linux, and I'm getting the segfault (even after build 70).

    >uname -a
    Linux XXXXX 2.6.39-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Tue Jun 7 05:49:02 UTC 2011 i686 Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU M 480 @ 2.67GHz GenuineIntel GNU/Linux

Do not think the latest error i am getting in the thread is to do with 32bit as there are users of 32bit systems also getting it.

i fixed my original issues by installing the 32bit libs for my nvidia drivers.

    http://kagforum.com/viewtopic.php?id=279

is a thread with people with the same issue atm.

Same problem here, I would love to get it running on Archlinux :(

I can test experimental builds if you want ;)

Still occuring as of build 71

edit: actually it still claims to be build 67

Have you tried running the windows builds in wine?

We'll keep looking into it, not sure how Michal's testing the linux releases...
