I am looking for either a new desktop or laptop that can run kag really well and also be used for school. I am looking for a relatively cheap computer that gets the job done (kag and school). I'm buying a ps4 and my parents are splitting the cost of the computer as a christmas gift. I'm not very knowledgable about this kind of stuff so any advice helps

Good think KAG is not very laggy, I would go with a laptop since they are cheaper.

You dont need a good laptop for kag. It uses only one core (right ?).

If i was you, i wont buy this ps4 (expensive games with crappy graphics) and i would buy a good computer ! Laptop could be cool for university, check the graphic card, processor and ram memory in a first time. With 500-600 euros, you can have a decent laptop.

If it's in the wrong spot move it.

How long would the laptop last me game wise? I know it's way harder to keep them with current technology. I wanted a desktop that can run new games, but most of my friends own playstations

    This otta do it

Mostly any PC can run KAG but I myself prefer a desktop but everyone likes something different.
I prefer to play other high quality games on the side of KAG so I spent 980 on a PC but if you just want to play KAG you can probably go a lot lower

Yeah, give us a price range you want to spend - you could get a pretty high end PC or the bare bones of one for about 1000 bucks (maybe a lil more if you need things like CD drives/HDD)

    Processor: i-5 4690k
    Mobo: Gigabyte GA-Z87x
    RAM/Memory: 16/8 GB DDR3
GPU: Nvidia GTX 970, or if you don't want a 2014 GPU, get radeon 6970 - mine server me well for a few years.

I think the total price is something like 1000 buck (more if you want the GTX) - All this said, I'm not really up to date with hardware, but this was the build I was going to make :D

Let's say I have a $1000 budget. I'd be interested in recording kag and possibly other games. I would like a computer for gaming and possibly recording. Is it possible for that kind of budget?

Here's a neat little site if you have absolutely no idea - although it definitely won't give you the BEST builds possible, it'll give you decent idea to go off http://choosemypc.net/

Thank you! Just discovered this thread and the 'Choose My PC' website is the thing I need at the moment. Yay! Will let you all know once I've 'picked up parts to build my own gaming PC' :D
