Map Editor Doesn't Function Right

    I'm sure this has already been posted about, but the map editor doesn't work for me. I have Gold (obviously, you already know) and it basically puts me into my own server. I know it's supposed to do that, but that is ALL it does. I've gone into rcon and typed "\rcon password", "\rcon PASSWORD", "\rcon \password", and everything else I could think of, but it just returns syntax errors and nonexistent function errors.

    Uh... Okay. Let me tell you about my experience.
    I am a global mod. This essentially logs me into rcon on every server allowing them.
    If I am logged into rcon (i.e. as soon as I enter a server) I am able to enter the map editor and play around with it on that server. I am not able to test how this works on a local game because I have some bug that has been affecting me for the last few builds that prevents me from starting a local game (failure to connect to server is the message I get, for some reason).

    My assumption is that you should have access to the editor if you are both a gold player and are logged into rcon. I do not know how to log into rcon on a local game but if you figure it out you probably have to login (i.e. go to the server list) BEFORE you try this as the game will not recognise you as a gold player otherwise.

    You could also try it on one of the proper servers (I know some of you have rcon on gC server, so that may be worth a try) - go on the server, login to rcon and try to use the editor.

    I'm also going to test this myself by setting a test account to gold and seeing if I can get it to work (no hope of it with the local server, someone else will have to figure that one out unless my bug is resolved).

    I've entered rcon in a local server (green x next to my name), but still can't do it.
    Shad, does it show your clantag and gold when you're in the editor? I don't have either, only the rcon mark.
    That must be the problem, since it doesn't think I'm gold when in the map editor.

    I have tried this with a regular gold account on a regular server (not locally).
    It works.

    Join server
    Login to rcon (HOME button brings up console, then type \rcon *password* - you need to know the PW of course)
    Then press ESC
    In the menu, select Map Editor > Editor > Start Editor
    Bingo!

    Shad, your way worked on the 10v10 server, but only because I have rcon on it. Other than that, it's impossible to get into editor.

    Some of us don't have servers up that we have rcon to yet. It needs to work locally or, as far as i'm concerned, it doesn't work at all, since we paid for a map editor we didn't pay for some roundabout way of getting it.
