Mexer's Annoying Inefficient Fly Trap

    Takes around an eternity.
    Anyone who tries to jump gets trapped inside the platforms and they're doomed.
    I don't even recommend this, though it does kill quite a big number of people in one match, until it gets kegged or arrow bombed anyway.

    I'm going to build a better version of this in my CTF games this week, as defensive measure and also another one on offense toward the enemy base.

    That's to weak.
    One bomb will destroy the spikes, swords can remove the doors easily.
    Replace the wooden doors with stone doors.
    2 well placed bombs could remove the structure back wall easily.

    It's a cheap and easy version, upgrade to stone doors or create a stone wall backstop, at your own leisure.

    It's easy to spend more resources and time on larger models but I wanted to simplify the OP to basic and low amount of resources.

    Bomb spams are a problem for any trap, no matter the design.

    Also I do recommend a scaffold behind to keep the planks standing during a bomb attack!

    A good trap should not require any help or knights around. It should kill while being unattended. Your trap has some flaws. #1 an enemy knight can keep jumping the wall and save himself time by not falling into the spikes. Downward facing planks push an enemy down into the trap. #2 an ally would get stuck in the middle and need to jump out over the top, inefficient.

    traps in general are inefficient, they are mostly made because they look cool which the one of mexer definitely does

    Traps are only inefficient based on bad builds and bad builders. Seems like you haven't met good builders before, which is unsurprising.

    Just because YOU haven't played against good builds and good builders (good traps) doesn't mean they don't exist.

    Savage, do you know I play a lot of builder? Do you know I play this game competitively? Do you know that all my combined hours go in the high 2000?

    Trust me when I say traps usually aren't worth the recources/time building it and I have seen a lot of traps in my day.

    this trap is destroyed as easily as slahspam or 1-2 bombs, not worth it in long run, especially in battlefield/generally hot places

    You're wrong for a few reasons.
    1. It's cheap and easy to rebuild anytime
    2. It's going to kill at least a few knights
    3. It stops knights from approaching the wall

    A builder can build it, and repair it, faster than a knight can bomb or slash them.

    Traps are built and repaired when knights are not nearby, duh.

    So you'll die at least several times in this trap.

    It still stops the knight rush.

    Arguments negated, anymore????????

    The point about good traps is that they're simple, easy, cheap, and deadly.
