Modding request: Change global light strength

Here's an issue:

I'd love to make a Weather mod, but for that to be possible there needs to be some way to control (sun)light strength without changing the time of day.

It's possible to add Rain/Thunder and whatever else... except..

• Day: It's the middle of the Day, nice and sunny, birds chirping ... Rain starts to fall.. wait.. what?!
• Night: Add some fog and clouds along with the rain and It'll look OK.

If it's not too complicated, move the day/night system to Angel Script. It'll allow for endless possibilities.

 

You could just make a few different 'clouds' which fit the whole screen and depending on how sunny it is the cloud changes (transparency changes). Just add sounds for the rain and done.

 

There are plenty of work-arounds... that'll still produce an ugly result.

I'd like to avoid turning this into a discussion.

 

It does happen to be an issue with Modding. It'd open so many new possibilities.

That was a concern of mine. I suppose if something is not supported, It doesn't matter. Cleanliness does.
