Need an urgent opinion about a video card

So I will try make this as short as possible in order to get, hopefully, more opinions.

Basically a few days ago I thought my monitor broke but it turned out it was the video card`s fault, a friend tried the video card on his PC and it worked perfectly so it must be a conflict between the video card the the system, most probably some setting issues in the bios, he said.
Eitherway I wanted to upgrade my PC so that friend of mine suggested me this graphic card when I told him I want improved fps in games so that I can record better. It`s an Nvidia GT630 with 4GB of Vram 128bit and all that stuff you can see for yourself.

I`m almost ready to buy it but I want to know a few more opinions before ordering it. I know this video card will be an improvement eitherway from my ATI Radeon HD 5550 with 1GB of Vram, but the question is how much better and will I see noticeable improvements in fps and performance in games? Notice that I currently have 4GB fo RAM.
