i think it would add to the comedic value of kag. not to mention add to traps and such im sure some skilled map creators could work around the consume everything part with some bedrock so bases arent engulfed.

imagine a tower built over some lava this tower has 5 people inside it some darey knight bombs it and it collapses inside the lava everyone dying instantly in said molten rock..

More of a frustration value than comedic value. Also, who in their right mind would build above lava?

It would just add "do not build" zones on the map.

Would add a use to buckets on non-water maps, being able to pick up lava and all...

But only underground, to fill in those huge dirt caverns.

Would also light up the underground...

In short, I'd rather not have it added...but i'd make a good mod.

Tar would fit much better into the kag environment over lava.

    Great idea!

So...I'm thinking it'd slow you down a lot as well as drown you much faster than water. Also, hard to get out and lower flowing speeds than water.

I personally don't want any of this crap, but tar would be better than a cheap ripped of minecraft lava ;)

Exactly. I'd much rather die in lava than be stuck in some tar that will never hurt me.

What made minecraft the only game allowed to use lava? Might aswell add hot oil to pour on knights or hidden quicksand but lava would be more enjoyable as hidden pockets or even a small bedrock like volcano that cant be destroyed.

Kag really lacks the more enviormental features the moment you pick up a shark is the moment anything goes

Nothing in the KAG environment kills many players except for falls. Sure, drowning will kill, but without a player-made trap, you can simply swim out.

Edit: A rare bison will kill you, but they are easily avoidable on the few maps that spawn them.

Maybe do away with all of this tar and/or lava, and add boiling water. Simply add lanterns...

    You ever played with bison's?
I not there is a section for you on the forums called 'Beginner's box' you should head over there ;)
Tbh I can't be bothered arguing right now so here's my last post ;)
Lava will not be added to the game because it would be a pointless. It could not be moved, easily avoided and it would be a great tool for griefing/breaking servers.

Poisonous water would be another good "dangerous" liquid.

Although I would prefer lava because it would be cool to see in caves and map (Volcano?)

Make sure all the maps have bedrock around it though.

Honestly, having a thin layer of lava above the bedrock layer might be a cool idea tbh. When maps get down to bedrock, nothing gets done. It is a constant battle for no-man's land until a map vote finally goes through.

If you were able to add lava to some of the smaller ctf maps, it would make it so there would be a lull in the battle once the field is down to bedrock. Builders will actually have a presence on the frontlines.

All in all, it would be a neat mod to test out. If the community enjoys it enough then maybe it could be put into the game.

The only real con to adding it would be that all those people who just say Kag is a minecraft or terraria clone now have another thing to say we are "stealing" from their games.
