[RDM] Mountain Ruins

Hey, I made this map for Contrary's map contest, now I'm finally allowed to upload it :D

Cool maps ant!

 

It was a good map, the only thing I didn't like was how much rubble you put in, I found it to be clunky and you could of at least halved the rubble. I know it is a 'ruin' map but I just felt it was clunky at times, other than that it was one of the standouts.

Archer camping spots

 

The map has pretty significant advantages for the red team, almost every game I played on it the initial battle from blue was uphill, and one time someone threw a bomb on the "floaty island thing" and it collapsed killing 4 blue players. So I would recommend moving red base back a bit so it takes longer to get into the mountain, and giving support somewhere (perhaps the edge of the map) so the island doesn't collapse. I thought it was one of the funner maps to play on though! ;)

 

Can you point out these spots Riley? :)

I had moved the bases equal distances, lengthways, from the 'peak' in the middle of the mountain.. But red doesn't have to travel down and back up it seems, over looked that :S

Any comments on the looks/aesthetics(?) of it ?

I guess the derpy floating castle, and the mountain would seem like two of those spots. When I went on the server, I loved camping on the very right overhang, If I could achieve getting there.

 

A few more tree would make it look cool, taller too. Looks really good. That floating thing looks very collapsible though.

I have a map pack, but right now it's full of shitty symmetrical ones (Fun, but not great) I'm working on a sunken ship map right now.

Any suggestions for other maps?

 

A massive mountain filled with ruins, both teams start in the middle of the mountain on either side.

Ruined. YEEEEEEAAAAAAAAHHHHHH

 

They slightly sometimes look too ruined (Bigger gaps in the stone bricks than there needs to be.) but other than that they look absolutely awesome.
