    If the resources are there, why dont simply using in the normal game? it would add a little more strategy to the game, wich frankly, its getting monotone over time. Same maps, same items over and over. And being able to buy a more powerful sword, or arrows or armor for gold, it would add a lot of new combinations to the game play.

    Actually, this is my way to say im sort of dissapointed of kag. It was promising so much at the begining, but with the time, it seems that the people complaing about a lot of things that made kag beta complex and the devs just cut off half game. The game these days seems more to be more like smashing the heads one each other than really a strategy one.

    *in the title with "mods" i mean "game mode"

    The roleplay server has some serious balance issues;
    It can be difficult to save up for stuff when your mined ores are available to everyone on your team.
    If you switch your class with an upgraded sword and armor, it just dumps it into the world letting anyone near you pick it up.
    Having the best armor and sword can mean absolutely nothing - one saw trap and it's lost forever.
    (If scrolls were added) Scrolls of destruction are one of the most underrated things... I've won wars as a lowly builder by just mining and building to save coin, then spending coin on scrolls of destruction. I have screenshots with storages full of them.

    Mining the ore to smith is a long and tedious process. So much so that you don't have any time to build defenses. Without defenses, you will almost surely lose, so if you're underground digging around for 30 mins and your team wasn't guarding your ass - you just spent 30 mins losing.
    For those that do actually obtain the high level armor, they usually whine like little bitches when they lose it.
    The best armored and equipped knight can be entombed REALLY easily. And then he just has to sit there like a fool.
    Mage orbs are ownage if used correctly. They aren't easy to block because they pulse in and out of sight making them hard to track sometimes, couple that with lag and it can be just plain stupid sometimes.

    With that said, I do like some of the extra pieces that are available, like the team platforms and angled stone pieces. The angled pieces could probably be reworked a bit though tbh.

    sorry , ive explained wrong. I mean to add the sword, for example, to the knight shop. For example, the copper sword, you buy it for 50 gold. and only last one life, as any other item you bought. Non of the other items should be in there -i mean the scrolls, the ore and that stuff- just the weapons, armour and arrows, equipable things. I dont know really what else is in the mod, since i dont really like it. it seems too slow and has no action to me. but ive been playing ctf and i can say its loosing its strategy only to be a crash of bruteforce

    No KAG is a simple game. It will not change. That's why it is so addictive.

    Kag is fun as it is. Mining for the ores for new weapons/farming coins is tedious.

    How would having more swords change the strategy to less brute force? That is some seriously flawed logic.

    This game is in a very balanced state currently.. changing any damage values for player characters would buff or nerf them, and change their roles so that one would be obsolete. A lot of the strategy (the best ones, anways) come from teamwork and good communication.

    Well, it was balanced, before Shotgun, but . . .

    @bru-jaz
    You might wanna edit into the original post that you mean buyable gear and not craftable gear.
    Other than that, I don't think this is such a good idea. After all, giving more hearts, more damage and such, and being able to buy stuff? This would encourage someone making a huge wooden block just to farm cash to buy the best gear.
    Then, when the other team is legitimately getting gear, the one who spammed wood blocks just won because they have 6 hearts and do 4 hearts of dmg with each jab.

    But, as Corpsey said, I could do with some team platforms or slanted stone blocks, as those were fun and actually useful. But as trapblocks are here, and physics might get even more screwed up with the slanted blocks, I don't see anything in this thread being actually put in.

    Edited title.

    On the note of the suggestion: have you ever heard of copyright? They can't just go and copy stuff from a mod and paste into their game. Also there'd be no point to mods if you'd just copypaste everything into vanilla.

    I think that he is meaning that the Devs should add in the ideas of the Mod, of course getting permission from the creator of the mod. Also, not so familiar with copyright, but don't you need something like a patent, so no one else can use it without permission? Or just something that is on pretty much everything, unless said otherwise?

    I don't see how grinding for coins to buy upgrades counts as strategy. In an RPG the (equipment) strategy comes from what types of armour/weapons are better for various things and how they affect your battle strategy. It takes a long time to decide these things.

    Good RPGs have varying equipment with many advantages/disadvantages. It also needs to begin simply, with basic upgrades, then move onto more complex stuff. This makes this idea totally unsuited to KAG, a game where one should be able to drop in and play without worrying about meta-strategies or complex UIs. If it was kept simple while in KAG it would be a very weak system. Too complex and players would not have any idea what was going on.

    Strategy in KAG is choosing the correct class, the correct special arrow/utility, what the enemies weak points are and how to back up your teammates. Real strategy. Not some fake strategy where any scrub can buy an upgrade, without thinking about the consequences, or an extremely complex upgrade system and therefore a new mode (which the Devs once toyed with and gave up on) which would alienate new players and take years to balance.

    Even if it was legal, what sort of person just steals other peoples work without permission?
