    Hey, welcome to my Roleplay!
    The backstory:
Many years ago in the land of Loth, the King Maximus XIV was in full power. He was a corrupt king, but he was not evil, as such. However, his right-hand man, Gorth, was getting fed up with Maximus, and decided to take matters into his own hands. His attempt at usurping the throne was thwarted by the kings royal honour guard, and he was banished from the Kingdom, the Kingdom of Prospor.
Furious at the king, he decided to take revenge. Over the next few years of his life-long exile, he started to study a forbidden art- Dark Magic. He collected reagents, herbs, ingredients and began to expand his knowledge of Dark Magic.
1 year later, Gorth had enough magical knowledge to enact his vengeance. However his target wasn't Maximus, it was his beloved brother, Sumixam.
Sumixam was slain that night, and when Maximus found out, he was traumatised. He snapped out of his corruption there and then- he had to do something to this cursed assaillant.
So he gathered up a group of guards and marched up to the supposed lair of Gorth.
Gorth had foreseen this attack, however, and had prepared a ghastly creature to retaliate... The Shroud.
It was a cloud of miasmic smoke, with lines of dark electricity running through it. 2 bloodred eyes peeped out from the top of it's shapeless form.
Needless to say, the king and his guards never returned.
The kingdom was shocked and immediately elected another king to protect them. But what was one king going to do against Gorth...and the shroud?

    Welcome!
This RP involes you making a character that specialises in a certain area - eg. Swordsmanship, Magic(water, fire, earth, grass, light, dark, chaos),Archery, Forging, those kind of things.
Make the character believable, don't overpower them or create some demented octopus child or w/e.
Only 10 people (besides me) may play, 2 are to be Gorth and the Shroud, if no-one applies for them i will act them as well.

My character! and the recommended template
    name: Ugos
    race: Orc
age: 16 orcyears (32 human years)
    homeplace: Orc village of Huror
    specialty: heavy weapons, earth magic
Backstory: As a young Orc-ling, Ugos was orphaned when the dwarves raided Huror. They killed his entire family, even (and Ugos watched this), his little brother Oru. He hs an inate hatred for dwarves. He is large, about 7 foot 8, but is surprisingly soft-hearted. He wears a custom-made suit of Black Star-ingot Armour, which is enchanted with a resoration spell, that works only once per day.
He was found to have magical talent when he was just a toddler of 2 Orcyears, when he was scribbling in mud. When he had finished, the scribble turned out to be some kind of rune, and a small earthen golem was spawned right there! Ogus has kept this golem, named Goh (what he said as a baby when he saw it) to this day.
    Have fun!

    Zalathor's Bio
    Name: Zalathor
    Race: Giant Sponge, sentient variety
    Age: 253 years
Origin: the 12th bay outside that Dwarven fortress.
    Specialty: Push attack
Background: A sponge that grew to epic proportions through the consumption of unwary dwarves wishing to fish in the sea. When it consumed a thralled dwarf during the Great Corruption of the 233rd Galena, it became soulless (that's right, the Sponge had a soul before) thrall bent on death and destruction. Due to the fuck-reality properties of thrall-state, it can now live above water, is invulnerable to all weapon attacks (piercing, edged, blunt). It is large, standing at nearly 2 meters tall and possessing a diameter of approximately 60 cm. It is a red color and wears the beards of its numerous slain enemies as a giant toupee. In the Joyful Meadows of Slaying the Giant sponge was branded with a giant 'X' to mark its doom-bringing properties. Any sighting of the awful X self-prophesies the imminent death and disembowelment of all observers, even those watching over closed-circuit television. However, it is "safe" to view the other sides of the sponge. The only emotion it can and will feel is rage. Zalathor the Giant Sentient Sponge of Doom also possesses the knowledge of how to kill and destroy any "Green Lantern"s, whether Silver Age, Bronze Age, Modern Age, or even the mythical Bullshit Age.

Zalathor also possesses one of the few ancient runic scrolls containing the secrets of Life and Death. Unfortunately, Zalathor is not a necromancer because it has no eyes and no way to read the scroll. Damn librarians and this crap about "tablets aren't in style anymore huhuhu".

Preferences: Zalathor likes dwarf-leather products, including but not limited to: shoes, hats, waterskins, amulets, leashes, neckties, and bowties. It finds elf-leather products chewy and more than a little odorous and as a result will attempt to push them into oblivion.

I actually put work into this, please don't pass it off as bullshit.
Good god, I corrected like 15 25 40 typos in my own post.
Now in compact, chewy, and individually wrapped spoiler form!

I actually like the sound of him!
I am guessing he can move properly, albeit slowly, so he can definitely have a spot in here! :)

    Name: Ella
    Race: High Elf
    Age: 20 (human years)
Homeplace: The high elf village set on the outskirts of the woods; Temor.
    Speciality: Bow and light magic.
    Backstory:
Having lost her parents to a forest fire at a young age, Ella was forced to move in with her Grand-father. He's a soft hearted old Elf, but at his age, his mind isn't what it used to be. She was all but left to do as she pleased.
She spent most of her days in the forest, exploring new area's and increasing her tree climbing skills. She was an agile little Elf.

One day she was returning from the forest when she saw a little house on the outskirts of the village. Having never noticed it before, she edged closer. Outside, atop a creaky old chair, sat an aged Elf. She recognised him as a village elder. Ella had a bit of habit of spying, and at her young age she didn't realise there could be anything wrong with it. So she scurried up the nearest tree and peaked down at him. Without moving his gaze the Elder simply called out "Hello little Elf."
Puzzled, Ella questioned him, "How can you see me?"
    "Your glowing" He replied.

And it all lead from there. Ella was found to have a natural talent for light magic. The old Elf taught her all he knew about the arts of light magic, and she became quite skilled. As the years passed she went on many adventures to the underground ruins. Finding a bow and some light armour. After a lot of practice she learnt to use the bow, and often hunted for food.

//So far, we have Ogus, an Orcish warrior that detests Dwarves, Zalathor, the giant sentient spongey killing machine, and Ella, the nimble, magical High Elf.
Going well! Got a good...variety, shall i say.

    Lark's Bio

    Name: Lark

    Race: Skeleton

    Age: 100 Human years

    Homeplace: The Great Tomb

Speciality: The soul bow, his most prized possession it grows in power for each soul it claims; The dagger of Jaylos, a dagger that lets the user fake their death and Dark magic.

Bio: Lark was once a ranger, fighting against the undead, he was the greatest ranger in the history of the earth. All his fellow rangers were eventually killed over time until Lark was the only one left, he knew what he had to.

He grabbed his arrows of truth and gathered his holy water, and went to kill Kovath the slayer of kings, who happened to be a necromancer. He though he could destroy him but his efforts proved futile, his holy water was turned into acid then splashed back at his face, disfiguring him, the arrows he shot were all bundled into metal which Kovath used to chain him to the wall. Kovath then ripped the bones of the dead from the ground and flayed his skin, then finally... He made him his soldier

But he went willingly. He realized, getting older as he was, he couldn't stay the best marksman in the land in his short, human lifespan. He gave himself to the undead, and he's perfected his skill over time.
Not long after, he realised he grew tired of existing, and locked himself in The Great Tomb with many others, he rested for 80 years, until now.

Appearance: Wears long, purple cloak with hood. Bones are slightly green and cracked, eyes glow bright yellow.

Likes: The undead, archery, and gloating his victims before they die

Dislikes: The Living, knights, and Kovath

Strengths: Superb Archer, Can fake death and shows no proper emotions.

Weaknesses: Quite frail in combat, Needs weapons to do any real damage and can be controlled by necromancers.

Is this good zollie? I added some extra information cause I really felt like adding it :p Sorry for the long backstory, soo can we start rping now?

I think it would be good to have at least 5, so we'd need at least one more person.

My thoughts exactly. 1 more person minimum, and we can start.
Remember, we need Gorth and Shroud.

  14. Name: Raven
    Race: Human
    Age: 15
Homeplace: A Human Village, named Retribution.
Specialty: Heavy Armour, Shields, Blacksmithing and Swords.
Backstory: Raven is a young Human who adventures the world, helping those in need. He is brave, fair, and caring. He's black haired and black eyed, and is quite tall. His parents were slaughtered at the hands of an Undead Sage. His vengeance still thirsts since that horrid day. He was safely hid under his home. When he came out. He knew it was time to learn to survive on his own. He took his dad's armour and weapons. The Armour of the Sun... The Aegis of Life, and the Dawnsword. He's faced much hard things, and eventually passed it. He is suprisingly agile, even when bearing heavy things.

He's learnt many things since the gruesome death of his parents. He learnt how to swing a sword properly, and how to shield properly, by the help of local villagers. A few weeks after, he finally adjusted to the heavy armour he bears. He learnt blacksmithing from a travelling Orc. He still tries to track the Undead Sage and finally avenge his parents. Though, he still ventures on, exploring the world, and discovering much fascinating things.

// Finally 5 people now we can start! Ok this is my first time ever RPing here we go! PS: My guy is an anti-hero
Lark was risen from his 80 year slumber by the tortured screams of the king's men, "it was time" he thought.
He grabbed his soul bow and Jaylos dagger, then memorised some dark magic. His bones grinded for the first time in 8 decades, he donned his cape and hood and walked up to the entrance of The Great Tomb. "Creed" he demanded, "yes master?" inquired Bloodcreed, Lark's shadow imp, "open the gates."

Lark stepped outside into the forest, he turned to see the elves of Temor having fun, "foolish elves, why do they get to enjoy life?" In his anger he summoned a shadow block to smash the house into pieces.
// Did you like it? Was I good?

    THE SHROUD
The shroud looked down at the deformed bodies of the king and his men, "Gorth will be pleased it thought." It would wait for Gorth's next orders, but now it spied a poor adventurer, "fresh meat," it thought. It stalked the man through the bushes until he turned around. "What are you?" he asked, "I" it telephathically communicated "am your worst nightmare." It saw even more people walking through, "that Raven thinks he's so good, let's see how he likes it when we kill Gorth!" said one. It threw the man into their midst which traumatised them, then it attacked, suffocating them inside it. "Hmmm, Raven..." it thought.

Back-story: Light, A child who grew up in the Kingdom of Prospor, he was one of the unfortunate and lived off the streets in the lower districts of the kingdom. His parents tried their best to support him but it's not easy going from the underbellies to being a noble. His father had a chance at helping the family move out of the lower districts it seemed like a dangerous task but it was well worth the reward. All he had to do was join up with the higher district guards and help Lord Maximus take down Gorth. Sadly he was never seen again after the fated day he parted for that job. Light alone with his mother tried to his best to work things out in his fathers place. He met a kind blacksmith named Grenth who was once a aspiring traveler, who decided to settle down in the lower districts and start a forge. Once Light met Grenth he visited him every spare chance he had, Grenth took quite the liking to him so he let him help out around the shop learn a few tricks, some sword skills and other handy traits. Light did enough work there to gain some money, he got a small house in the lower districts for him and his mom. Now that he's settled everything out, Light wants to adventure into the world and see things that couldn't of been possible if he didn't push forward after his fathers death.

//Excellent!!! Aegis, Raven is in(young human? sounds like a hero waiting to happen),Cerby(nice backstory o_o), Light is in. Blukey, good start.
Let's begin!!! only 3 more characters+ Gorth now, i believe.

Ugos awoke to the sound of clangs outside his small cave. He shared this shelter with 2 other orcs, who had lost their families and homes when the Dwarves attacked. Between them, they could scrape by, with one being skilled as a hunter, one as a former cook, and Ugos being a warrior, who could defend them.
It looked dark outside. The clanging persistedm and then there was a loud one which stimulated Ugos to investigate. He reached down to find his armour, but he felt the cold stone instead. Puzzled, he peeped outside anyway. What he saw both saddened and angered him... Both of his fellow orcs must've felt like his skill was the least important. There they were, picking up parts of Ugos' armour and fleeing!
Ugos knew he couldn't catch them (despite the Orc cook being quite pudgy or 'big-boned', as he said), but he was defenseless without his armour.
They'd taken every last scrap of food, too...
He was on his own again.

Next morning, Ugos set out, with a sharp stick and some berries in the way of supplies.
He strode off in the brisk morning air, bare feet tramping through the dew, in search of his next destination. He knew the orcs would head to Prospor to sell his armour... but his heart told him to leave them be. They had a hard life, they deserve a break. Grumbling, he turned in the other direction. Of it's own accord, his little golem Goh appeared and scampered onto Ugos' shoulder. Whispering into his ear, Ugos made his desicion. Dressed in his leather tunic and shorts, he trudged towards Temor.

"How do these elves like it?" Lark muttered, sending a bolt of shadow knocking down a torch setting fire to some trees. After this he would gather his supplies and go on the hunt for Kovath. He saw an elf archer (not Ella) pulling her bow to take a shot, Lark swung around and shot her through the stomach. "Big mistake" Said Lark and then killed her with his dagger, "Ummm Lark..." urged Bloodcreed, "not now Creed, "no seriously boss!" "What is it?" "Look behind you…" Lark saw an ominous shadow loom over him, he turned around and ended up face to face… with an orc.

Ugos had reached his destination, finally. It hadn't been too long of a trek since a wayward Giant Bee offered to give him a lift in return for his berries.
What he saw when he reached Temor, however, was not a pretty sight. A house lay in ruins, shards of jet black...glass? lay scattered on the floor. He was stunned by this; the Elves were a largely peaceful race...surely they hadn't brought this upon themselves? His questions were answered when he spied a strange looking skeleton in purple garb firing these mysterious shards around the place. He started towards this walking spine when he heard a strangled scream. Peering slightly over the skeleton's hunched shoulder he saw a young Elven girl collapse, bleeding, to the earth. This skeleton was going to pay for that! He ran over to the skeleton just as a strange little imp caused it to turn it's master's head. Ugos looked down on the skeleton's bony face and snarled, displaying his razor sharp, elongated fangs, that jutted from where a human's molars would be in their lower jaw.
And then he reached out, and plucked the skeleton into the air, dangling him from his skull.

Lark was awkwardly lifted abruptly into the air by his skull, he looked into the orc's savage face. "Go ahead beast, kill me if you want, I'm sorry for my outburst of rage, it's just that… I miss living so much." If Lark had eyes then there would be tears welling in them. "Do you know how it feels to exist for 100 years? Seeing everyone you loved or could've loved die around you while you just stand there and watch?" "Bloodcreed can reverse the effects here one condition," Lark looked into the orc's eyes. "My name is Lark…you're going to help me find Kovath, slayer of kings.
