Read this first! Rules for Making Reports

Rule 1: Do not reply on report topics unless you have additional proof or you're the one that's been accused. Do not start a discussion! You will be given infraction points! We don't have time to read your discussions.

Reports will not even be looked at if they can't follow the following rules. These rules can be changed, and new ones may be added, it is your responsibility to know them.

1. A video must be provided showing evidence. If there is no video, nothing will be done, screenshots and chat logs are not enough. They can be added as supplementary evidence, but with out a video it will be useless. If you are unable to get a video, they will not get banned. The thread will be left deleted if no video is provided.
2. Reports must use the provided template (will be shown below). If they do not use this template, they will be ignored and not looked at.
3. For your threads title, type out the person's name exactly. Copy it from the chat logs in the base folder, as certain characters may appear different in game than what they actually are.
4. Search, the thread names to see if someone has already posted on the person beforehand. If they have, do not make a new report. Instead add your evidence to the thread. If the old report is locked, PM one of the mods from the help section to open it for you.
5. If you are reporting more than 1 person, do not report them all in 1 thread. Make separate threads per person. The above rules apply to each individual report.
6. Embed your videos and put them in [spoiler] [/spoiler] tags. It makes viewing them easier
7. Only comment on a thread if you have something to add. This means adding/refuting evidence, or better explaining what happened. Do not just post "That guy was a jerk", "That guy griefed a whole bunch of times" or "OMG BAN DIX HAXZXZZXZXZOORD" as they will be deleted and you will get a warning. If you aren't adding anything useful like additional proof/evidence or feedback, don't bother posting.
8. For images and files (like chat logs), upload them to the forums. Do not use an external image/file host as those may delete your files over time. However this does not apply to videos. Upload your videos to YouTube. They will not be viewed if you don't upload them to a video player site that can embed videos.

Stances on policies:

Spoiler: Swearing/Trolling/Racism/Bigotry

Swearing/Trolling is allowed in game, as long as it isn't over the top excessive to the point that it is annoying most people on the server. If more than one person tells you to shut up, you probably should. As you maybe kicked from the server. No global ban will happen in most cases.

Racist remarks/some bigotry are also allowed. If you are offended, just move to a different server. Over the top and excessive racism/bigotry may result in a global ban however. Probably a 1-3 day ban the first time. If it's bad enough that several people feel that the games ruined by those remarks, the ban may be longer.

Spoiler: Griefing

"Griefing" is a term used by many players to describe the act of hampering your own team. Whether it's destroying your team's constructions, obstructing paths intended for your team, or shooting them with catapults - any intentional act that gives disadvantage to your own team is considered griefing. This also includes team swapping to harm the opposite team. ~SirSalami

This will result in 3-5 day ban which will increase if done repeatedly.

Spoiler: Hacking

Hacking will result in a permaban regardless of intentions.

Spoiler: Swastikas

• Ingame: If we (KAG Guards) see somebody building swastikas but noone says anything (which most likely won't happen), we move on. If anyone is complaining:
  • We give out a warning (Something like: "You are offending others, cut it!").
  • Player doesn't stop. --> We freeze him. Another (last) warning. We unfreeze him.
  • Player doesn't stop. --> We kick and report him at the forum. He will receive a three day master server ban.
• Public report thread: We can't warn the reported player because we are not ingame at the moment of action. So we just go with a ban for three days since someone (the reporter) is offended and the swastika-builder obviously didn't stop. Of course we will only act if enough proof is given.

Reasons:

• We dare to say that more than 99% of the swastika-builders do not have some affinity to the religious meaning of the swastika and mainly just create it to troll other people and gain attention. They are just using the religious aspect as an excuse.
• The people who make them aren't even playing the game, anyway. They're sucking up room for people who actually want to play. If they want to draw or build something which doesn't help in capturing the flag and which might offend someone who sees the swastika as a Nazi symbol they should do it in a local sandbox game or a passworded server.
• We already have an "inappropriate conduct" category in our policy ("racial remarks of any type"). ~illu

 

Template for making Reports


Thread Title: Username of Abuser

Copy everything from the quote above and paste it to the message of your thread. Screenshots and Chat Logs are optional, so you may remove those if you don't have them.

An example thread created using this template is shown here.

Putting the servers name is important because some servers may have different policies on certain things which may result in actions not being considered griefing in those servers.

Time is important because there is no point in reporting something that happened a week ago. Try to make a report within 24 hours of the incident.

When putting evidence down, separate each type of evidence, label what kind of evidence it is and put it between [spoiler] [/spoiler]. For chat logs, quote the relevant stuff and put it inbetween [code] [/code] tags along with uploading the whole thing.

For the comments, do not put anything derogatory, just post what happened, explain the situation and that's it.

 

All of the above was done under my supervision and I approve it.

 

From now on I don't accept reports from so called "Creative" servers. Reasons behind this decision?

• It's really hard to tell whether it's griefing or not. There are no teams "to be griefed".
• Why the hell in creative servers catapults are enabled? This is beyond my comprehension.
• And c'mon. It's creative server - just rebuild your stuff. You can build the same on your local sandbox and if you want to brag about it - just take screenshot and show it to your friends.

Go with this to server owners.

 

From now on I'm not accepting griefing reports from the "Classic Role-Play #2 by bergice [LITE-RP][5 Races][32-Players]" server and any server similar to it.
It is because of the vague rules of the server.
