So, in an effort to provide a change of pace, i've created a server running a new game-mode of mine. I'm calling it Salami's CTF REDUX for now. I'm very much looking forward to hearing what you guys think about these changes. As always, i'm open to any constructive feedback or suggestions you guys may have. If this becomes popular,i'll surely release the files for other admins to use, as well as the possibility of some of these tweaks making their way into default server settings.

    Features include:

    Slower, more strategic combat
    - Knight Charge time increased
    - Knight stab time slightly increased
    - Knights HP Increased to 4 hearts
    - Shield bash no longer stuns (to prevent 'bullying')
    - Archer charge time increased
    - Archer draw time slightly increased
    - Archer charged shot increased to 2 hearts damage (possible to 1 shot kill other archers)
    - Archer arrow velocity increased (medium shots are very useful, weak shots somewhat too)
    - Builder attack time slowed slightly
    - All successful hits result in a tiny stun, more-so based on attack strength
The purpose of all of these tweaks is to provide a more thoughtful flow of combat. Increased attack times and stuns create new opportunities to bait and counter-attack your enemies. It also makes ping problems very slightly less apparent. As for the archer changes, i find that the best counter to an archer, is another archer. So rather than completely nerf them, i've created a situation where archers are now "glass cannons" when faced by other archers.
    New & Modified Workshops
    - Mechanics shop sells bombs and lanterns, can be upgraded to siege shop
    - Siege shop sells Catapults, Boulders, Kegs, Bombs, and Lanterns
    - Treasury exchanges gold and coins respectively (as gold is much more vital in this game-mode)
    - Lumberyard allows sale of wood, upgrades to Lumber Exchange (allows purchase of wood)
    - Stoneyard allows sale of stone, upgrades to Stone Exchange (allows purchase of stone)
    - Archery range sells arrows, allows class change (of course)
    - Tunnels, Knight Stand, Quarters act as they usually would
Siege equipment is more powerful in this game-mode (see below), so i figured that it's more intuitive and balanced if the mechanics shop upgraded into the siege shop at the cost of gold. Resource shops provide a way to get some 'quick' money, which can be traded for gold, which is very vital. They also provide a means to get resources of the map is in a state in which resources are low. Finally, it just seemed intuitive for the archery range to sell arrows, rather than a separate shop.
    Equipment/Item Modifications
    - New Bombs that can be carried by any class. Solid objects so they may be shielded or shot. (great fun).
    - Kegs are more expensive, but more powerful. Much more useful for demolition.
    - Boulders are slightly slower/heavier, but much more effective killers. Also more useful for demolition.
    - Lanterns illuminate a much larger area than default.
Bombs for everyone is just plain fun for all classes. The limit of one, and the inability to fight when them in your hands (without inadvertently lighting them) balances it out in my opinion. The ability to shield and shoot them is also more intuitive and fun than default, to me. Dat feel when u shield bash a bomb back into the attackers face is priceless. Kegs are more destructive as builders have the ability to get stone quickly, in turn creating a need for a more destructive force. Boulders have been buffed simply because i noticed that no one tends to use them with default settings much. Finally, lantern light has basically doubled to reduce the negative effects of the dark, scary night if someone chooses to utilize them.
    Other notes
    - Gold is generally more important in this game-mode, but also acquirable by selling resources.
    - Builders harvest and destroy slightly slower, but receive more resources per hit
    - Because of that, Siege equipment plays a larger role
    - "Minecrafters" have something to do as they can harvest/sell resources and provide equipment for the team.

I guess that's about it. I hope you guys have fun!

Archers a little slow but love the rest- all makes logistical sense and more realistic.

The archer shots are pretty slow but I love how fast they go and the 1 shot kills to other archers. It's really a great server.

You should make an upgrade for the quarters, where the cost for healing is free, but the upgrade should be like 100 coin or 100 gold bullion. Keep up the good work, it's an amazing map!

    Here is the map!
It is quite big, if you need i can make it smaller.

EDIT: fixed some things (new map down there )

Heya SirSalami, was trying out your server. It's pretty fun and interesting. Not sure how I feel about water though, it seems to stagnant the game a bit. Making archers a little too powerful. Maybe you could decrease the charge time, but leave the draw time as it, while decreasing the distance each arrow goes? Lets people get the charged shot off faster, but decreased distance doesn't make shots basically a stun fest. Would probably require finding an optimal distance to charge time ratio.

*Just stating that one problem I've found is that quarters don't heal right now. Might want to fix that.
