Server for the upcoming steam release

I need some help setting up my server. Port forwarding etc. I need everything done. I've tryed for like about a year now with no server :(

I wanna release a big server before we release for steam.

Alright, so, did you port forward yet? Did you set up your dedicated_autoconfig.gm?

 

I set up dedicated autoconfig already but i think its the port forwarding

 

Usually, that's done by entering 192.168.178.1 in the URL bar of your browser, go to internet settings and add the port to the exceptions. Can't give you a step-by-step instruction as I don't know what router you have.

 

I did all of those already but server won't show up

Well it looks like if your port forwarding wasn't successful, did you forward 50301 (or the one you picked instead)?

People say i should switch to IPv6

 

No, there is no need to switch to IPv6.
Is there a firewall running which blocks the server? Any other kind of software that could inflict with it connection-wise?

 

No firewall running at all.

 

Well, I'm sorry, I ran out of ideas what may cause your problem.

 

Try running a server with a fresh install of KAG-B (backup your configs) , that worked for me
