Survival horror with Thief-like-stealth in a spooky, procedurally generated, English-countryside-esque world where you're being hunted by tweed wearing, pipe smoking, tea drinking, robots. That about sums it up. :smug:

    More details? Well...
You basically spend your time running around a group of five islands (each, as I've said, procedurally generated--either along one of five different/distinct biomes or to custom specs) trying to collect fragments of "the device" so you can get home. This is made increasingly difficult by a wide variety of robots also running around--some deliberately trying to hunt you down, others minding their own business until you piss them off, and still others picking fights with/hunting other robots. This is a game with relatively high lethality, meaning that screwing up and getting shot/injured tends (unless you manage to make your escape in short order) to lead to rapidly shuffling off your mortal coil. This makes being anywhere where robots might find you (i.e. roughly 50% of the time) highly terrifying and exhilarating. Ofc, sometimes you have a good run going and are flush with lots of ammo, food, and bandages; but experience has taught me that getting cocky and trying to turn the tables (i.e. going robot hunting, huehue) can (often as not) backfire badly when you bite off more than you can chew and, well, heh....

Currently the base game is single-player, although they're running the testing for MP (up to 4 people) atm (it's an open beta, iirc). I own four copies (one which I got from the original Kickstarter) in anticipation of holding LANs. Heartily recommend it to anyone. ::)::thumbs_up:

Super-excited for Sir multiplayer. If you don't have the game and are looking multiplayer survival, nab that bundle while it's still available.

IDK man, sounds pretty spooky. Not sure if I can handle it.

Honestly, the game can be kind of spooky sometimes. There's an enemy called the Landowner, and he's creepy as all hell... He will track you forever, moving at a slow, but steady pace, always heading in your direction. And unlike other enemies, he can see you over very long distances. When he does, he doesn't react whatsoever - no change in speed, nothing - he just keeps tracking.

But he will stare. Straight. At. You.
