[Solved] how to open console on mac

Original post: hi, i know this is not the most important question but most people play this on a PC (windows) and so they can just hit the home button to open up the console. but i play on a mac, and i've asked about this before because i wanted to change my name, and everybody has said, "use the home button on the keyboard to open the console" well that is not possible for me because
1. i don't know what a home button is.
2. i don't think it exists on a mac so please help me.

okay i finally managed to open the console. but now i want to change my name and it comes up with this
is this because i run the game on mac or what?!

 

You are doing the command wrong
The correct command is
/cl_name *Nickname*
Double recheck the command being correct, and if there are same topics around.

 

First problem : You forgot the / behind the command, which made the KAG console think it was a piece of angelscript to run - which is not allowed client-side for various reasons. A console command must be prefixed with a slash.
Second problem : There is no such command as "cl_jimmy" - You need to use "cl_name" and pass it "jimmy" as an argument, i.e. as an parameter.
Result : /cl_name jimmy
