Spec mode, HUD, the map feature [M], and maps in general.

    I suggest that you should only have the option to go spectator at the beginning and end of every match, particularly in TDM. As is players are able to abuse it, for example: your whole team gets slaughtered, so now it's 5v1. You want to preserve your KDR, so what do you do? Quickly switch to spectator and the match ends with no punishment to your KDR. Luckily I haven't seen anyone abuse it, but that doesn't mean we can't be proactive, eh?

    Regarding the HUD, i'd like to see the "alive/dead players" part of the HUD (in the top left corner) only appear when you access the scoreboard (hitting tab). It's kind of bulky as is, and if it's moved to the tab/scoreboard display then it frees up a pretty significant portion of the screen. Not to whine, but I've had it block an enemy player from my line of sight on occasion, and it's not as if it's a hassle to tab really quick to see the deathcount in the heat of the moment. I tab all the time during matches to see specifically who is dead on the enemy team, so I can't imagine it'd be much of a hassle to tab to see the deathboard. Perhaps an option to toggle it off? The less on your HUD the better.

    This one's a bit of a no-brainer. You should be able to access the map function [M] on every map. I really don't understand why I can't toggle the map on some maps, but on others I can. It's inconsistent and it honestly needs to be fixed/changed.

    TDM Maps
    On the subject of maps, this new map line-up in TDM needs to be fixed. I enjoy the addition of mechanisms, but a lot of the new maps feel gimmicky. That is to say that they're less about map design and more about the mechanisms themselves; to just showcase them, and it's done so in way that doesn't enhance the map design (which is lacking in some of the maps to begin with). Not to mention one of the maps have broken mechanisms (sometimes the trap blocks don't open, and sometimes they open only to quickly close and trap players inside unless they have a bomb). Mechanisms aside, some of these maps are simply too flat, and makes you wonder if the designer forgot that the archer class even exists. Other maps lack walls/doors where they should be, and instead of breaking up a lane with said doors, a platform of mechanical spikes is in it's place, leaving the lane open, straight, and a flat out undesirable path. These maps need to be fixed and/or removed. I appreciate the effort and addition of mechanisms, but some of these maps aren't a good addition to the line-up. If anything they've degraded the quality of the line-up.

    Sorry for the multiple submissions, but I didn't want to bombard the suggestions board with 4 new threads. Any criticism is always welcome

  2. TDM spectacting - I wouldn't like to see this change. You've already stated you've NEVER seen it abused. Most people don't give a rat's ass about KDR and limiting when you can spectate would just be frustrating. I've gotten phone calls while playing and had I not been able to go into spectator I'd just be that afk guy unbalancing teams.

    HUD - I don't pay much attention to it so I don't care if this change is made.

    [M] - Viewing the minimap can be disabled serverside. It has nothing to do with the map itself. Some server owners don't like the minimap because you can easily see enemies tunneling etc.

    TDM Maps - I'm not sure what you mean by "mechanisms not working" but I'm beginning to think you're just not familiar with their properties. The map you are referring to with the trap blocks only working half the time is completely intentional. They are hooked up to a randomizer so that the map has different properties 50% of the time. I really like that one actually.

    The funny thing about Maps are that if you don't like them, make some for yourself. Many server owners host custom Maps. Not to mention that most of the official map pool is made by community members. If you make a fun, balanced map and send it to the devs I'm sure they'll check it out.

    You could commit suicide and switch to spec once dead.

    I don't pay much attention to it either. Frankly it's unnecessary and just takes up that much more space on the HUD.

    The examples I gave are specific to TDM. Some maps on the official servers have the map, some don't. Don't you think this inconsistency should be corrected

    TDM Maps

    The map has been designed to lock players into the chest room? Doubtful.

    Even if I did try to contribute maps, I'd still like to see at least a few of the maps in rotation pulled.

    ps. acidrap is overrated

    Yeah it can be disabled by server owners but swagbot is right. On the small maps minimap is not available. I am sure it depends on the map size.
    Nothing more to say, don't play TDM much. Maybe just that I don't like the scoreboard on TDM. It's getting worse with every update. There's a lot of shiz like these separating lines. Why not to make something simple that fits the KAG gui style.
