Storage room

A shack made out of wood and stone, and maybe some gold. Players can store any non-ammunition and non-gold materials there, up to 1000 units of a single material. Built with a blueprint like a catapult or an outpost.

Optionally, it can replace gold sacks as means of storage.

Announcing large withdrawals and deposits should guide players to be less dicks. Perhaps identify storages cardinally with a small #n floating above it to be included in the announcements.

 

Thats alot of ideas but i think this idea is great this would be good for people who need to build quickly when they are under attack +1

 

I think people should only be able to take out small ammounts at a time because there will still be dicks even with an announcment or not.

 

I like this idea. With say press [G] to deposit, and you can put in the good old 10/10 each. Press [C] to take, gives you 10/10. Simple and efficient. I'd say 15 wood and 10 stone per piece with the usual 4x3.

 

Do it like Minecraft, where one block represents a chest, and then 2 side by side creates a large chest, with a maximum size of 2x2.

Let's say each chest is 250 items, so a 2x2 chest would hold 1,000 items.

A single box containing 1,000 stone that you don't have to mine would be very handy to have nearby an outpost, for repairs and dropping on the enemy. Likewise, having a chest of wood let's you quickly build an outpost (assuming you have the gold) when it's needed.

There was mention that the gold blocks were temporary, so maybe this could also serve to store gold blocks?

 

This has been suggested and was even posted on the devblog awhile back. It's called a stockpile.
