If you couldn't guess, the acronym means Free to Play Third-Person Shooter Action Real-Time Strategy.

The sequel to Monday Night Combat, SMNC is like DOTA and other similar games in that the objective is to guide your team's bots down a lane, destroying enemy bots and turrets in your path, and ultmately destroy the opposing team's big important structure (the Moneyball) to win, but the camera view is behind your shoulder instead of being a bird's eye view, so it's a shooter as well.
The game's F2P model is also similar to that of League of Legends; there are a number of pros (playable characters) that are available each week, though you can choose to unlock anyone permanently by buying them with combat credits attained through playing or with real money. The only stuff you can buy with cash besides pros are cosmetic items such as costumes or taunts and CC or XP boosts, so there's no pay2win nonsense here.
