[TDM] Trick Room (with variations)

    The whole map is a checker board of red/blue drawbridges. Some of you might be groaning; but think about it for a second. Since it is a checkerboard every player is visible and with the new feature for drawbridges fighting will feel like you're flying.

    Purist map, no walls, no walkways, no nothing. Just high flying fun... sort of.

    I should most likely just add more vertical walls instead of horizontal walkways.

    Thank you for your compliment. It's currently playable in Shadlington's Rapid TDM server if you want to try it. You would have to wait for a couple of rotations but both of them are there.

    I like the one with all-drawbridge more. Fighting is slightly confusing in the floory map, because you don't really know where you can go and where you can not.

    But I love the ninja-style in both of the maps, and it is fun to fly! Original idea, good job.

    This is great fun! Although it doesn't allow for very much tactical use of terrain (excluding the second one because it's hard to distinquish), it's pretty interesting.

    Tactical use of terrain was difficult to devise. I attempted at making the walking platforms more visible... but sadly it ended up making everything more cluttered. I have a couple of ideas I will hopefully be able to implement on the weekend after some of my college exams.

    I personally think this is a really interesting map, I played on it and its almost like an underwater map in mario. The combat is completely different and very interesting.
    I would say this is one of my favorites now, just cause it gives a big break from the usual way the combat plays out.

    The main difficulty I have with it is that combat is so different from normal that I can't properly devise a floor plan that maximizes the new element the trapdoors provide.

    I don't see the variation of this often enough anymore, are people taking it out of rotation? I friggin' love it.

    The variation was taken out of Shad's line up because the floor planning was still immature and was too convoluted. The original is still in use because of it's simplicity and that it is a gimmick map. I am currently working on a floor plan that is less confusing.
