"test.png" an unused sprite, testing for the future?

    Let's speculate for a bit here. Clearly this is based in very little fact and is just for fun.

    But the file is real, and it's never seen in a game. So what is it?

    Looks like he's pretty good at standing.

    I think it's for the "Runner" class. 2 hearts, can hardly attack, but he's crafty.
    Can dig through dirt, and can jump 3 blocks high, and run a bit faster.

    The runner is for when your teammates have the other team occupied.
    He hops the wall no one else can and steals the gold bag before anyone knows what's going on.
    Then safely behind his teammates he makes it back to base (quicker than others) and is back to the frontline for some more petty theft.



    Who or what is test.png?

    There's also a "builder.png" sprite. I think it's early work on the builder, I don't know what it's still there.

    I think it's just a test character used to check out maps faster then with other classes. You know, run around to check physics.

    It's probably one of the first builder models and was used for testing out the game early on before finalised sprites were decided on.

    Hmmm, another idea - it was used to test hitboxes. it's same size as hitboxes are.

    NotAName, Neat, Gumball, Contrary etc got it - it was just an early builder concept and was used to test out the character tech :) The image was made before the builder's hammer was finalised and the hood was ported over to the knight because Mike liked it. The rest is more or less history. Sorry it's so boring, but I was kind of enjoying the suspense, heh.

    This reminds me about some possible (not final) character customisation ideas we've been having.. But that's for the future. ;)
