//Edit from Kouji: moved to texture packs

I was wondering about how i'm going to go about my texture pack. If you stumble upon this I was wondering, if I make a texture pack where the knight is a boxer and the archer is a mobster, what should the builder be and how should I change the blocks around.

This is just for you to give me ideas, I do not need actual help making it.

you could try to make the stone blocks and backwall try to resemble a building from new york or something, to go with the mobster feel
could also make the team doors look like those sliding glass doors, though i don't know how difficult that'd be.

thanks that sounds pretty good. I think I might make the front layer of the background look like a construction site and the back parts will be city.

  4. Well, I must say, this sounds pretty cool man. The way I see it, the background can either be a big city/metropolis type are, or a cliche Little Italy type place. Red, green and white a flowing. Pizza sops here and there. Mind you, this is me assuming by mob you mean something along he lines of the Italian mafia, hahaha.

If you were to go with a construction site background, then it seems only fitting that the builder would be a construction site worker. Whereas if you went for the traditional Italian feel, you could make it something silly like a chef.

Heck, if you were really dedicated, you could make separate sprites for each team and it could be like gang wars. For example, the Mafia being blue Vs. the Yakuza being red. Although, this is ultimately unnecessary, but fun to do I suppose and a good way to kill time. Anyway, from what you have described, this has a lot of potential. Good luck uber9ion, I hope to see/use your texture pack sometime in the near future.
