Should there be an option to turn vehicles?

  1. Yes, but they should remain stationary.

Usually, when enemy cata/ballista is captured it becomes a dead weight as it cannot be used against the enemy (and even cannot be destroyed unless you're a bulder), so i think there should be an option to turn them around (like the flip option when vehicle is on its back). That option probably need some kind of price or condition - like certain amount of people near the vehicle or price of 100-150 wood. The other option is to just give the ability to make wheels again so in can be spinned for a price of about 200 wood or they could be bought in siege/builder shop. Both these methods will probably enable griefing, on purpose or not, but options like that can make game more fun entertaining. Furhermore, what can be more memorable than driving catas from tower after capturing it? If you have any additions/critique plese comment.

should just forbid taking wheels off but make cata cheaper, so it's actually a SIEGE WEAPON

That can lead to the problem where person might not see they are in driver seat and accidentally drive off their own tower. Maybe it could be made that wheels could be "turned off" (not permanently) to make cata stationary and "turned on" when it's needed to be moved.

the entire nowheel things is shit because it just locks out other team from using that weapon, and if you just make wheels endlessly changeable that'll make it even worse tbh, since it'd buff the siege even more

    I'm against.
Many times already when a siege vehicle is captured it has its wheels intact, or many times the crate is stolen directly.
This option will make siege menus clumsy and potentially will lead to more fuckups from teamates than it could help the other team.

Also, i think it's already ok how is currently. The pros one team has on taking siege from the other one are enough:
    Capturing catapult:
    • Making that catapult unusable for the enemy
    • If they forgot to take out the wheels, you can turn it around.
    • It works as shield against enemy normal arrows.
    Capturing ballista:
    • Making ballista unusable for the enemy: Shooting and spawning.
    • If they forgot to take out the wheels, you can turn it around.
    • It works as shield against enemy normal arrows.
    • Free spawnpoint+class swap.

  6. If I recall, the original reason wheel removal was added was to prevent things like a player lining up a shot, another player hopping in the driver's seat, and immediately turning it around so you fire at your own side, then crying "grief!".

  8. Agreed. Maybe when an enemy team captures one from an enemy, they have the one-time option to spend some wood and a little bit of stone to add wheels to it again (or maybe just like gold coins, since that is what normally vehicles are bought with)..? Note that means this can go back and forth as one team captures it, then the other. One thing to note though is that with this catapults can no longer be "sabotaged" by being turn stationary, for when the enemy captures it the catapult would be facing their side instead.
