Unexplained and Random Banning.

I've been banned two times on two different servers for no apparent reason, never mind a good reason. Has anyone else had this happen to them? I'm talking about a situation where you're playing the game as intended, not being an obnoxious moron, not griefing, not harassing people, and suddenly you're disconnected from the server. No explanation, no apparent cause and effect. It simply happens.

Is this a result of a decision someone or some others made or is it an automatic function?

I didn't post this in the Help! forum because I can't be sure what is really happening on the server side. Neither are the game developers responsible for server conduct naturally.

 

Likely to be a ping kick for ping spiking. Either way, pretty much all admin bans are 10 minutes and so are automatic kicks done by the server. In the meantime, check out your ping behaviour while in a different server to see if its to do with that.

 

Thank you. My ping does seem to noticeably fluctuate.

 

My wireless seems to do this occasionally. I wish there was some tolerance before a server kicked you for this reason, specifically for those who have intermittent lag in like 30 minute or greater intervals and so aren't really a detriment to the game.

 

Yeah, perhaps some ping-spike handling could be good.
Having a ping-spike is punishment enough, methinks.
