    So, any of you dudes into vaping? Yesterday I happened to get this little beauty;

eLeaf iStick digital display with variable wattage/voltage

GeniTank with spare atomizer and airflow control vent

I've been using the damned thing for two days now; the battery is still almost completely full, it has variable wattage from 2-20 and variable voltage between 3.0-5.5, the juice (e-liquid) lasts a LONG TIME. I filled it up once yesterday morning after I opened the gift, and it's still going strong.

I also got 3 different kinds of e-liquid; Space Jam's Andromeda (tastes like blueberry/pomegranate/sex), and the shop has their own house blends called Zookeeper's Blend, the flavors being Polar Bear Cooler (a spearmint/Andes candy flavor) and Premium Menthol... I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it resembles the flavor of menthol.

So do any of you partake in this healthy alternative to smoking cigarettes?

PS: I forgot to mention that this is about ACTUAL vapes/e-cigs, not the cheap ones you get from gas stations like Blu, Njoy, and Vuse. Those things fucking suck.

Well, if you smoke cigarettes like I do (usually a pack and a half a day of Newport 100s) and really just want to quit them, I recommend it. Sure, the liquid still contains nicotine (some of them don't though!), it DOESN'T have carcinogens, tar, or any noticeable smell like regular smokes do. On it's own, nicotine is about as harmless as caffeine.

Most places that offer vapes, e-liquid, and all the necessary parts to keep it working will almost always let you sample whichever liquid flavors you are interested in.

    Enjoy!

Hahaha, hey now, I didn't get all specific about certain stores or whatevs. It's different all over the world, I have one shop near my house and one about 10 miles away, and they sell completely different shit.

I'm just sayin. Day 3 no cigarettes. I'd say it's working.

He is telling us/using a product to help him stop his smoking addiction with a healthy alternative. My sister uses this too and she says that it works like a charm. Honestly that's the only problem with the internet. I can't tell if your joking or if your serious. Meh.

I just thought it was odd that someone made a post about vapor cigarettes, never the less good idea suggesting an alternative to actual smoking sauce.

Well, considering I've been smoking tobacco cigarettes for the last 9 years, I welcome any healthier alternative.

PS: 6 days with no cigarettes!

How do we know that there aren't bad side effects? Isn't the technology rather recent? I'm sure it's better than smoking cigs tho

I've heard tons of shit, like the secondhand shit from the vape is bad for people, but I've also heard that thirdhand smoke on peoples' clothing from cigarettes causes cancer... So who the fuck knows! In the mean time, I'm enjoying my vape. I started work last night, and it's nice being able to bust it out any time I feel like it. Even in a medical facility!

Congratulations to you on quitting! I hope you can succeed using your new found method. I quit cold turkey a few months ago and can tell you, that method is NOT for everyone!

Good on you for calling attention to it; maybe you can help some other people struggling with that tough addiction. Quitting ain't as easy to do as it is to say, folks!

I'm 27 and I've tried every method to quit you could imagine... Vaping is the wave of the future! I had one smoke last night at work and I couldn't even finish it, the vape tastes way better and goes down easier... I currently have the Polar Bear Cooler flavor in my vape, tastes like Andes candies and menthol. Delicious! The ingredients; vegetable glycerin, flavoring, propylene glycol, 18mg nicotine. Way healthier, way healthier for everyone around you!

Just an update! I'm now completely convinced that vapes are the way to go to quit smoking tobacco (analog) smokes! It's been nearly 3 weeks, I think.

I just can't recommend them enough, it's seriously the only thing that has worked for me thus far.

LOL "analog" smokes. That's a good one! I know it was just a joke, but you really could be a marketing man for them! You should write them a testimonial! Maybe you could persuade a few more souls to give it a try and kick the habit like you did. You could save lives while you're off work, too!

Fucking awesome to hear the vape's enabled you to steer clear of ciggies, bone! Completely fricking chuffed on your behalf. Seriously, having ~half my extended family hooked on several boxes a day it's bloody fucking fantastic to hear you've shaken the bear (what one of my uncles calls it). Can't think of any other way to say how pleased I am: GfuckingG, mate. ::D:

I can dig on a cigar from time to time... But vapes are the wave of the smoking future!

@hierbo You wanna know the truly sad part? I was able to kick my drug habit (opiates, painful physical withdrawal, etc.) WAY easier than I've been TRYING to quit smoking. I wouldn't even say that it's the nicotine that my body craves anyway. It's more of an oral fixation; inhaling and puffing out water vapor that looks an awful lot like real cigarette smoke, I can use it literally anywhere, it's a metric fuckton cheaper than Newport 100s would be per month... You gotta figure, tomorrow I will have had my vape for a month. Not counting the initial investment (battery, atomizer, liquid tank, etc), I have spent roughly $42 in that entire month of using the vape. In contrast, one pack (20 cigarettes) costs like $6.50, and I smoked AT LEAST a pack a day. So we'll round up and get a pretty realistic figure on just how much I'm saving since I quit.

Let's get a little mathsy up in here.

Vape - $42 (I still have two full 15mL bottles just for the vape)
Newport 100s - ~$195. Per month. I paid about a QUARTER of the total costs for my vape than I did with smoking cigarettes.

So yeah. This thing is fucking priceless.

Well, I was a little pissed the other day. When I got home from work I was getting ready to charge the vape while I went to sleep, and somehow the housing for the atomizer that connects the two ends of the fluid tank was completely busted. I was so mad that I had to get a new one, but then I remembered that Kangertech puts a lifetime warranty on all their stuff.

So I got a brand spankin' new one for free! Works great too. I'm just amazed that these things work so well, and I've tried pretty much EVERY avenue for quitting. I've had nicotine patches, gum, lozenges, cheap electronic cigarettes you can get at gas stations, hypnosis (yes, really) and exorcism... Oh, that last one? My grandmother is a religious nut, and claims she has the gift of, "the language of God," where she just starts muttering nonsense. Anywho, she brought me to some kind of, "healing ceremony," where this fucking priest, "blessed," me. Then he put his hand on my forehead and said, "LET NO DARKNESS CONTROL THIS MAN, I COMMAND THE DEMONS RESIDING IN THIS CHILD OF GOD TO LEAVE HIS SPIRIT AND NEVER COME BACK!"

I had a cigarette before I got in the car to leave the church. Hahaha

Oh man. The cringe factor.

I'm actually on board with the whole God, gifts of the Spirit, praying for (and actually receiving--remind me to tell you a story about that some day) healing, etc.; but there's this thing a lot of Christians do where they decide "IT MUST BE AN EEEEEEEEEVIL SPIRIT!" rather than stopping and wondering whether there are more mundane explanations, like that a person just has a bio-chemical hook (or whatever, that's just an example) that's making it really hard for them to quit a habit/addiction. Sure, occasionally stuff happens where the most reasonable explanation is something of a spiritually malevolent nature, but the rest of the time it's just normal life and saying "he has a spirit of inner division!" rather than "he's a schizophrenic with personalities" is just looking for the fantastic to brighten you (obviously) otherwise dull little world. A little less overt spiritual provincialism and a little more using the fucking minds God gave you would be nice. You know, once in a while... :kappa:
