Visual Trophies

So there has been a relative surge or contests lately, all with gold accounts as prizes. That's a great prize, as it supports the game, but it is also a kind of ironic prize as the people who will generally be entering forum contests will be people who are really into the game and will already have at least one gold account.

I was thinking that we could have a sort of trophy system, where if you win an officially sanctioned contest a moderator can grant you a trophy which can be displayed beneath your name. I'm pretty sure I've seen awards like this on other forums. To avoid clutter and widening the newfag-oldfag gap too much, I'd propose that if possible a person would be limited to three trophies being displayed at one time, with the rest being tucked away in their profile (maybe with all the postcount "trophies").

Like count is so passe and we're in desperate need of a new pointless e-peenery to obsess about.

 

I think this is a good idea maybe there could be banners like the Forum Donator one as well?
