    It's not even hard...
    Just take a plank, 5 x 30 x 3, and at certain places, make some holes.
    Then you make a small ditch for the arrow, and the base is done.
    Take a strong but flat piece of wood, wet it, then heat it, so it'll curve.
    Put them together, and tie the ends of the flat piece of wood together with some strong string.
    The arrows are easy: Just take a log, and drill holes in it with one of those drills that have rings.
    (You're supposed to make perfect circles in stuff, but I use it to get perfect circles OUT OF stuff)
    Then get a regular drill, and use it to make a hole in a piece of stone, and put the arrowshaft in that.
    Let the amazing power of glue do it's work, and you've got your own crossbow, with arrows.
    If you want, you can make a small hole in the tip of the arrow, to put something in, or an incision in the shaft to make it splinter.
    Now you can take on every army.
    No matter how many squirrels there may be...
