What happened to that gold gametype.

Im just wondering, What happened to that gametype where you had to collect the gold. Cause everyone plays CTF, and think it would be cool to change it up a bit.

still here, just that noone hosts a server running it, Furai used to host a second server as goldhunt.

 

I was going to host it for a while, I just never got around to it.. I'll test it once the server gets quiet later on.

 

Well im up to play goldhunt if you switch. Also j4son, since you host a server and have you own clan (which is a port off a CSS clan) im gonna assume you have a ventrillo or teamspeak you use, And im trying to find people to chat with while playing this game.

 

haha actually we didn't have a voice server UP UNTIL I bought this server which ironically is a Mumble server. Mumble clients crash KAG.
IRC is always game, but I'm sorry, until the game is fixed no voice server.

I'll put on goldhunt in a bit.

EDIT: Bad idea. It doesn't load and kept my server down. ): Oh well. Another day.

 

:( I've never even played gold hunt since no one has ever hosted it since i've started playing at least.

 

As someone who plays builder 90% of the time, I always enjoyed the gold hunt immensely. It was the first mode I played.

ADDED: What I was also meant to say: I would be very grateful if someone would set up a goldhunt server too. I do, however, agree that it needs tweaking to bring other classes other than builder into the fray..

 

If you pick the map carefully so that the gold is in the middle of the battlefield and near to the surface, then I think gold-hunt could be a much more fun game-mode. Teams would actually have to fight over the gold.

 

I'll create a gold hunt server with my own custom maps with gold in the middle when i get back home

Just copy the .PNG files into your kag/base/maps folder and load em up in-game.

For example:

 

I've been wanting to play that castle map badly, the one time I got the chance we were playing capture the flag though. Dunno who's genius idea that was :l
