What happens when a server gets filled

    I'm not sure if this should be a suggestion of something to fix or...
    46 players made a mess out of this game, and right now it's a total stalemate because nothing can be done.
    I'll make a post every 5 minutes with a new screencap until this dies down to show how this is kinda not functioning.

    Yeah, I was just playing this game.
    In this kind of situation, where the enemy is pushed back to their tent, they have unlimited ammo, so they spam bombs at the enemy and grief their spawn platform so that the flag is impossible to reach.

    ^ Yeah, but that doesn't really solve much about the gameplay issue of having this many people on the server.

    hmmm, make 2 servers each 22 slots, 11 o 11 is anyway much more fun and lagless :)

    just had another idea, why we dont just place the tent at the lowest part of map, so when everything is bombed, they'll still reach the flag if they downed the last tower :)

    Or simply have a 8x4 indestructible platform below the tent, and limit the output of ammo. Problem solved.

    Or have the amount of players on the server taken into account in the gamemode.cfg's for these:
    wave_respawn = 0
    playerrespawn_seconds = 4.0
    nearspawn_multiplier = 2.3

    in other words an algorithm.

    @Loki, he means make something stronger than bedrock and put it under spawn. Right now it's just a 1x4 bedrock slab.

    I have no idea what ^ this means. I think this thread should be moved to suggestions.. but uhh I've already suggested things like this to MM.

    I think I remember hearing something like that was going to be implemented (or heavily agreed upon).

    I still think an indestructable platform is quite necessary.

    I don't enjoy full games; they become overly chaotic, and the massive craters resulting from bomb-spam ruin both the aesthetic of the map and the gameplay.
    My ideal game has around 20 players in it, never much more than 30.

    I now officially can't play on servers with lots of people in it due to extreme lag. This is when i'm in the UK and the servers in germany (the best I can do) and i've got 0 processes running and noone else is using my internet. Pretty sad if you ask me.

    That's quite odd, Neat. I don't have huge - only small - lag issues and I'm from the UK. I played on J4son's server, too. Are you using a laptop?

    I think big games tend to get laggy/glitchy for everyone, Neat. They do for me and I've got a very good connection and pc, as well as I'm just one border away from the EU server's location. Maybe it's a code problem rather than network. Once I was walking towards an edge of a pit and suddenly got teleported on spikes below, instantly dead. Client-side I didn't even reach the edge. Can you even call that lag? I think there's a big problem with interpolation (is that how you call it?). It shouldn't 'force' me to actually make the move it (wrongly) 'predicted'.

    20+ player games are the most fun anyway, at least at this stage of KAG's development.

    And yes i'm using a laptop. Why should that matter? Laptops don't affect your internet connection and I hardly think I don't have a decent enough graphics card for the game which is pretty primitive graphics. As for ram concerns I have 4gb of RAM. You're telling me I should need more to play this game without glitching all over the place or watching someone flicker about from square to square? That's a joke. I can play games like TF2 and league of legends relatively lag-less for petes sake! You're telling me it's to do with me when it's a case of that? Even my firewall is set to gaming mode and KAG is allowed. Stop being blind to the issue!

    I play in UK and Russian servers and I actually don't lag that bad (I'd go so far as to speedtest to show you what I'm dealing with but I don't want to embarrass myself)
