  1. I'm talking about having no delay. Not talking about not retracting at all.

That's not what he's proposing though.. He's saying that spikes should have a spacebar function to make them act as dirtspikes on stone.

Making too many solutions is just as bad as having none.

What problems does his fix bring into the game?

Think about that, and then think that what he wants is already able to be accomplished, and you will see his fix is not worth it, as it brings in risks while adding in nothing at all, as what he proposed is already a thing as Trumbles posted.

I know this is an oldish thread, but I don't visit this subforum. I actually think it's necessary to buff spikes as they are right now. 99% of traps that aren't built by pros with super clever designs are piss easy to break out of, mostly because spikes do like 1 damage per two seconds, and only after they come out. Basically, there needs to be a happy medium between ridiculously overpowered saw traps and ridiculously underpowered spike traps.

If we're gonna keep the retractable functionality, the best thing to do would be to make them react like the old team bridges. As far as the enemy is concerned, those bridges are empty space. Similarly, team spikes should always hurt the enemy as if they were always out.

The problem with most spike traps is that anyone, even this little nooblet on your team with a 1/29 kdr can escape a damn spike trap, the most efficient way is to put wooden platforms keeping the knight/archer/builder to get out of the trap, alive. From what I've seen now people are replacing the good ol' spike trap with saw traps, when you get to the point where tree-destroying material is better then hearth-piercing spikes you really have gone too far, spikes needs a buff, should it be in the damage it does (not safe for teamates) or if it should always stay up (better solution (exept if your knights doesn't like to jump off towers to get impaled on spikes) that said, why the heck are saws so effective at butchering knights :(

Secretly, spikes can kill the entire knight trains hugging your tower walls if dropped on top of them.
