no, they are lying to you for their own amusement, Ej is the real head of xcube, you would see that if you checked the clan page.

I did check, and it just open for applications, it had members but it did not say specifically that "Ej is the leader/owner of this clan"

It does not say specifically who to ask if you want to join, but it states that Ej, MechaTrickster, and Monsteri are the leaders, and if you look at who's in it, you will notice that Rayne is not.
