Either follow the steps on quakenet to make an account with Q (step by step on the website), then when you go on IRC type "/msg Q AUTH" then copy and paste it's "don't use Q, use blahblahblahsecurityblah" messages address and add your username and password, so it's "/msg [Q's demanded address] AUTH [username] [password] or just say !login, then SSO with your KAG account.

/msg Q HELLO [email address] [email address again]
Check email.
/msg Q AUTH [user name] [password in email]
Then set a password with...
/msg Q NEWPASS [current password] [new password] [new password again]
Note that in all but the HELLO you use Q@CServe.quakenet.org not Q.
