it's an immersion blender, not a "bamix".... FFS Fuzzy ;__; .... at least it looks like it's supposed to be one.... not a very good one though. I kind of, demented cousin sort of thing.

Obviously you have never used on then. I use the brand name (bamix) because those Swiss know what they're doing. That thing is brutally efficient and walks all over any other 'immersion blender' out there-- trust me, my family have tested loads of others and they never compare.

Aussie stick blenders.... oh fuzzy, don'cha know 'MERICAN models are far sup-oh wait.... We don't make anything in America anymore... Anyway, that thing looked more like the immersion blender equivalent of a chainsaw fuzzy, and that isn't the point of a stick blender ;___; ... Think scalpel, not bone saw.

Have you ever used it to make mayonnaise or cream of (anything) soup with it?

    It Swiss, not Aust. >_>

You're right in that the cutting attachment shown is the most robust of the set, but it also has two other attachments for finer work. Not that I've ever used them much beyond whipping cream, as those four prongs coming out from the main stick

(that nominally protect the pot from the blade) use the Venturi effect to use stuff coming in to hold stuff already there against the blades, thereby ensuring a smoother result. This also prevents clogging as if there comes a point when stuff hear the blades is getting clogged the Venturi effect

ceases to help hold it in which then makes it easier for the blades to push it out-- in practice this leads to a kind of pulsing as stuff is sucked in, liquefied, and then pushed out making room for other stuff.

Dun knock it until you've tried it my friend. Is chef's best friend. :3

at least tell me you whip cream by hand on valentines day, cause, "you don't wanna be cleaning an electric mixer [or in this case an immersion blender] after dinner. You're gonna have better things to do, like have ssssssseeeeeconds."-chef john.

No, I whip cream using a bamix because not only does it produce cream of identical quality, but the whipping process is 20x faster and the cleanup in literally putting the cream-covered bit under a fast running tap. gg all you stone-age hand whippers. >:^)
