    Sadly my French isn't up to the task of explaining, but Google claims that this works:

    Actually, it would be more or less correct, except the "le hic", which would be "un hic", because it's not defined yet. The meaning is slightly modified, but it's rather decent for a google translation.

    Aha! Yisss! I was wondering if that 'le' was out of place, though I wasn't quite sure what I should be replacing it with. It just felt... wrong. Really should get back into the studying thing re: French. Always loved it in times gone past. :3
