Adding bots for moderation is amongst the worst things any selfrespecting community management should ever do. Basically you admit not being able to deal with the shit you started yourself, or that your ruleset is outdated and in dire need of a rework.
Muting people on a communications platform is also in stark contrast to the purpose of said place, if you don't want someone to communicate, then you kick or ban them. Muting them is unneccessarily cruel.
