Am currently watching The Pet Girl of Sakurasou, and liking it very much. Reminds me a lot of Toradora, what with its slice-of-life-y-ness (yes, I realize that "slice-of-life-y-ness" is probably the furthest thing from a word that a human being could ever create).

Started out kind of "Oh, I see where this is going" but so far has ended up being a lot more interesting than I previously thought. Mashiro's antics are hilarious, and a lot of the dialogue is pretty clever.

No, Madoka transcends good or not good. Normal animes are mere puffs of noise, quiet enough so that you can discern between notes. Madoka was a thunderous roar too loud for us to make judgement like high or low, good or not good.

 

Madoka was... interesting. It was a glorious deconstruction of the magical girl genre, and left me feeling hopeful and at the same time sort of broken inside.

On the whole, I would say that's good. :P

I haven't seen the movies though, so I took your comment to mean that the movie you just watched was so awful that you were giving up.

 

Oh okay, I thought you were talking along the lines of the plot being too weird to understand or whatnot (aka something negative). I liked the series because it was for the lack of a better word without spelling out spoilers - different. Not really a fan of the genre, but there are two that I like, Madoka being one of them.

The other one being Nanoha, seriously, it is full of awesome magical battles, especially the movies. High-speed flashy magical battles to very awesome soundtrack is pretty much it's motto:

Well I'm exaggerating like fuck but seriously, that last half hour. Damn.

 

I loved Kore wa zombie desu ka? and the second season, imo I find it fucking hilarious, I don't know if it's a Zombie that gets the power of a Magical Girl and now cross-dresses and fights with a chainsaw against evil octopus that try to rape him. But the characters are really interesting as well, I mean Eu is like the cutest character ever :O another good one is Date a Live, I'm sure nearly everyone has watched it by now :3

Well, Baccano and Cowboy Bebop are fantastic if you haven't seen them, although I assume everybody has seen Cowboy Bebop.

yeah, thats entertaining. I wouldn't say its the best though.
I have been enjoying Log Horizon as well, although its not fantastic.
