Pharynx Eruption Some 2010 speedcore by me. Speedcore is a subgenre of hardcore tecno/gabber and it's quite fast and quite extreme style in the global point of view.
Funny that reminds me I had something similar I never finished. A request by someone on DRL. Why am I so bad at completing things? Not quite on the same level of technique as Smile's but it's probably the most complicated thing Ive ever done. While we're at it, Some other stuff. I posted this on DRL but no one replied. :V
You seem to handle anatomy quite well in pixel art so small. Ever tried challenging yourself with palette restrictions?
Thanks! It means a lot coming from a great spriter. Well I started off spriting for mods for Cortex Command, which has a limited palette. Some of the ramps are really asinine. The green on is in CC palette- though fortunately the green ramp is probably its best, alongside blue. But real restriction? No not really, I haven't.
Restricting your palette by count makes you realize one colour can have several purposes. Restricting your palette by the colours itself is taking it few steps further, e.g Gameboy palette, Commondore 64, win7 paint default colours.. Even neo colours. Anything can be turned into magic in the sacred world of pixel art. Heres one painstaking wip of mine, using c64 palette. Pixeljoint is great community for feedback full of effort and inspiration from other artists, if your interested. You practically learn to sprite like a god just by thinking about the site.
I love Pixeljoint! Pixelation, too. Some of the best artists of our generation, I'd say. In-fact, the communities are a bit intimidating -- hah. The stuff on there kind of makes me ashamed of my art XD (which is a good thing).
