Been reading and watching the manga/anime Eromanga-sensei. Here's a little sample of Izumi Sagiri. Full picture on my DA
You guys should check it out. I think the story is cute.

 

I just found out me always using outlines has held me back from actually making art that isn't terrible

It's blurry because it isn't finished. I start of using huge brushes with 5% opacity and keep drawing different shades of colours over each other. While i do this i slowly make the brush size smaller and increase the opacity to make it sharper. Eventually the whole thing will be clear when I'm done.

 

I can see waves, island and sky, what is the purple thing ? Anyway, when it comes to outlines i recently dropped lines to minimum and started painting, it will take some time to master. :p Maybe i will post a portrait soon, but getting depth of the face is rly harddddd you cant just doodle it around

i'm not actually sure what the purple thing is, i'm going to make it very abstract. Maybe i will turn it into a giant octopus monster thing

 

Yeah will probably fix that if Maltager wants me to.

Here is a painting i just finished, it was super hard, manyyy failed attempts, even if i had video help with things like skin and face, i couldnt get it right, but i continued. After something like 20+ attempts i found the thing i was missing and i stared adding the depth to the face.p. !

Thanks a lot ! I still have a long way to go, i want to draw full character with such details one day, but first i would need to work on basics like eyes, hair, clothes... And ofc face profiles, which i skipped (∩ ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)⊃━☆ﾟ.* kinda like always (∩ ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)⊃━☆ﾟ.*

I took out the purple / black thing, squashed the waterfall to one side and added some other stuff

 

Haha, nice ! Grass is super cool and waterfall is cooler than the waves, but you made some mistakes, lightning etc in the waterfall. I dont think i would draw big backgrounds, seems like a pain in the ass. Do you actually enjoy it ? Because i wouldnt :p it has to be a girl or something cute for me. Its not like i never thought about drawing guys, but i dont rly feel like drawing them, even if i admire some: guts, alucard, ikki itsuki or ichigo
