Best City Building Games

ture i respect it as well but i love the game to progress alot faster:) after all its free and all but the game is so great and i dont want to wait literly YEARS... and all the rip off games sucks like village and Goblin fortress:) but i guess i yust have to wait :)

 

Stronghold, anyone of them.

Seriously, great, well rounded economy system, farms, mines, and in stronghold 2, crime, disease, famine. Really nice city builder.

 

Stronghold is like Dwarf Fortress.
Except worse. :P

 

The original Sim City games were good
But then they got worse
A fun stratergy war game that i suggest is Generals Zero Hour though
Many hours slaved over that game

Maybe not quite what you meant by city-building, but I tell you, them tornadoes from SimCity ain't got NOTHIN' on the blasted Evil Oculus! D:

 

I bet those AINT GOT NOTHIN' AT ALL on the blasted combination of flying, fire-spitting six-legged quadruped made out of slade (the heavviest rock in the game!) FB, combined with the above-ground 100-headed goblin siege (aka, lagbomb D:)!

How it works with the new Glassbox engine:

 

Neat engine.
I hope it'll come with some sort of SDK so we can use it too, i cna see some pretty intresting mods to be based on that.

 

Youuuuuuuuu have absolutely no taste in gaming then. Unless your talking about 3, yeah that was bad.

 

Almost forgot that game, it does rock. And I also cant wait for the new sim city, its gonna be epic.

Stronghold is good, but the combat was lacking imo

Dwarf fortress isnt bad.
Its the best game evor made.
If you install a graphics pack, at least.

 

Whats the aim of the game? I downloaded it and I had no idea what to do.

 

Use a youtube tutorial, its a very unobvious game, and it has a learning curve so steep you could jump off and kill yourself.
Once you know the basics, it gets pretty addictive.

 

DF is nothing like Stronghold.
dont get me wrong Stronghold is a good game, actuly played Stronghold 2 resently and had fuun some days.

Stronghold have a set of missons and alot of creativity going, but its focused and u alweys know what to do to finish a (1h?) mission.

DF is hardly even a game, its more like a Sandbox and no set goals.
i get the part were u build ur defens. but the rest?

im not going to start talking of DF, Then i cant stop :D

 

My Suggestions:
SimCity3 (was addicted for about a year)
Age Of Empires (Duh!)
Anno2070 (i've never played this but i have heard good stories)
MineCraft (i spose this could cover the category: you can build city's)

Also i might try this Pharaoh game, sounds like great fun :)
But my best recommendation is SimCity3 all the other simcity's are Cr**in comparrison.

 

Get the base of this game, learn how to play, and then do whatever you would like to do : here is some exemple tooked from the wiki .

It is not this hard, but I'm sick of this game.:(
