Borderlands 2

While the game itself is still a bit fun I believe it fell off a little bit compared to what Borderlands I was, overall I'd say it's an upgrade but it lost a little bit of the appeal.

One of the things that bothers me is that the first game was very widely praised in more 'indie' circles because of it's lack of DRM, something I find disturbing is that they didn't run with that and instead decided to go full on DRM with Steamworks which is actually some pretty bad DRM. This isn't a problem for people who just buy but Borderlands really 'sold' so well because people tried it first and it was fun so they actually bought it. The amount of people I know who pirated this game day 1 and went on to buy it after are the highest I've ever seen in a game, there are as most of you know a huge following of people who pirate games and then go on to buy them, a good chunk of these people you will notice only buy games that are generally:
A)Fairly priced
B)Not overly ridden with DRM (aka I'll lag more in my purchased copy than my pirated one)
C)Actually good games
I feel as if Borderlands 2 has lost at least B.

Overall however as a game it is still good but I'm not seeing the praise from certain sites, especially /v/ related that the first one got mostly because it's not so 'play with your bros, ya dawg just dl it real fast'. Don't get me wrong it's already cracked and LAN playable with crack, but it could be better IMO.

"close enough" is definitely broken :/ With some points in anarchy and a decent COM you can jump around, shoot at the ground and watch things around you explode ._. Must say it's hilarious for an hour or two, but gets rather boring
