Can't run TR (Linux)

    Whenever I launch the application, it never gets further then the launcher menu. I press "GO!", and it crashes.
    Help plz?

    Download libpng15
    Then run these:

./configure --prefix=/usr/local/libpng/i386/ --build=i386-pc-linux-gnu "CFLAGS=-m32" "CXXFLAGS=-m32" "LDFLAGS=-m32"
make check
sudo make install
make check
    Now edit rungame.sh to have this line somewhere before line 6

    LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libpng15.so.15 [...] /KAG [...]

    I assumed you were on ubuntu. Open the terminal (ctrl alt t) and do what I said.

    "cd ~/Downloads/libpng-1.5.19" might be different as you download another version.

    It seems like you're running linux but are unfamiliar with the command line, building from source, installing from repositories and the like. You should be aware that in general, linux systems are technically much more demanding.

    That said, I'll quickly break down what each line of that does (it's meant to be entered into a terminal) - but note that (like literally everything else that you stick into a terminal) you really should understand what each step is doing, not just blindly copy/paste it in.
    Code:
    cd ~/Downloads/libpng-1.5.19
    change the working directory to wherever you extracted the source for libpng 1.5.19
    Code:
    ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/libpng/i386/ --build=i386-pc-linux-gnu "CFLAGS=-m32" "CXXFLAGS=-m32" "LDFLAGS=-m32"
    configure build files for your system and the required architecture
    Code:
    make check
    run the make rule "check" (i assume it'll basically do an integrity check, you'd have to read the generated makefiles to be sure)
    Code:
    sudo make install
    with root privileges, run the make rule "install" - this will depend on the make rule for compiling the library, and will then copy it where it needs to go on your system ( somewhere under /usr/lib/ )
    Code:
    make check
    run the make rule "check" again - probably some more integrity checks.

    Hope this helps, but seriously consider either having a windows install around, or getting much more familiar with all the technical crap you have to do to get software working under linux.

    Anyway, like Geti says, consider getting a Windows installation, or ask one of your brothers (if they know more about Linux - I'm just assuming they installed it and not you) if you're not managing
