We all started out bad, just learn from your peers and never give up, also take frequent breaks.

But besides that, here's some tips:

Archer: Meh, i'm not that good at archer but I'm okay, try to repeatably hit your opponent while dodging their attacks. If you want to get up close and personal with an opponent just quickly grapple or jump above them so they won't have time to react. If you want to do large damage as an archer charge up a triple-shot then get really close to your opponent, fire, then run off.

Builder: Always make layers, use wood by covering it with stone to make a sort of cheap filling. Do make overhangs to resist wall-climbers and make effective traps. And always, always make ways for your team back into the fort so you can capture flags and other things. Always make support using back walls so your fortress doesn't become rubble. Learn how to use boulders effectively, it's the builders only good weapon besides dropping spikes. You drop spikes by placing spikes where they're not adjacent to a solid tile. (ex. back walls.) Protect your shops so other teams can't use them. Never make doors on the ground, and never make forts out of wood only.

Knight: one of the best tactics is to back slash, back up from your opponent whilst charging a slash, then go toward your opponent and release slash. And try stomp slashing, jump from a reasonably high place (6-8 tiles high.) whilst charging a slash and land on your opponent whilst releasing the slash, this should insta-kill if not then would considerably lower you opponent's health.

Misc.: Don't put ballistas in you base, other teams can capture them. Don't steal stuff from other people, don't care about your score.

I don't care what you use from this tip list and don't, just don't be a noob.
