Can't test my maps!

    So I've just gotten into map making. I've been using paint.net, and it's going quite well. Unfortunately, I can't test my maps. Before build 228, I was able to just open the map in-game, but with the new menu it doesn't seem to be an option. After choosing sandbox, I open the editor and give it the directory for my map, but it just stays on the map I was on before. Did I do anything wrong?

    PS: yes I am premium

    Try this for now:

    load sandbox mode
    hit [home] key (console)
    type \loadmap mapname

    Note that ".png" is not needed after map name.

    Make sure you put the map in /kag/base/maps/.

    You don't need to do \rcon on a local server, it's Remote CONsole.

    No worries, just test these things out first. \rcon literally just sends your command to the remote server to be run, assuming you have the password.

    I think it works with/without \rcon on sandbox mode.

    I'm sorry what console? I'm not clueless when it comes down to the command prompt nitty-gritties, but I'm afraid I have no idea what you're talking about. I can't type on the "KAG.exe" console, so i'm guessing it's not that. I took a look, and there seems to be some networking going on, but it beats me as to why. Do I need to start a server? I tried doing one before (just localy) I could see the server, but not connect. Thanks for the support!

    wait! is my command prompt just being stupid???

    press the "home" key while in-game to access the console.
