Cheapest way to skybridge

  1. Same with knights. Competent players should be ashamed when using units able to shield. OP.

How is that at all the same thing? Skybridges are what less skilled players rely on to even have a chance at winning a game. Heaven forbid you work on some ground based strategies that actually put up a decent fight. I mean, why not just build over everything when you can, right?

I present you the most cost effective way to build skybridges:

Yes, they are shop tiles :) But it is quite impossible to build a such skybridge in any real situation due to obvious reasons.

Edit(3): There was a small error in my calculations. The maximum bridge length buildable from a full backpack is actually 267 tiles instead of 271. And no excess stone. (At the very end you can put 2 back walls between 2 gold bulions)

You can walk across shop tiles?

Nah dude, there's a difference between a wimpy little elf knight on a sky-bridge and a manly one who stands on blood-stained soil.

Harsh but direct, the best way to describe hindrances as such.

Nope but they can be used as wooden back wall when you run out of stone (shop tiles are cheaper than trap/team doors).

I've been in games where we end up with a tie because all we do is keep killing each other on plain dirt. (with unlimited respawn) No one dug under or built a skybridge so it ends in a tie. The game would be totally shit without tunnels at least.

Also, tunnels are fine as long as you start them near the enemy base where the other team cannot "exploit it" and make it their own.

The enemy can always exploit it, that's the way of the game. It's a strategy game for goodness sake. The point is to strategize, defend and attack and plan. The enemy can exploit skybridges just like tunnels, also.

Which is dumb, why would you build a bridge from castle to castle as if it's the silk road? If the enemy can exploit something your team builds, than it's an obviously redundant and worthless strategy.

Then tunneling is stupid, right? The point is to stop the exploitation. Strategize. Btw, no one is talking about castle to castle skybridges. We have all pretty much agreed that is stupid. Read the thread.
