Do love how you basically ignore any reasonable post and go "LALALALA I'm right and you guys can't prove me wrong because fuck evidence." Everyone was talking seriously except you at this point. Allknowingfrog basically agreed with you, however, he also listened to the other side and kept an open mind. You on the other hand are acting like a child going "NO U" after every single response. Lastly, you are the one who caused the derailment of the topic in the first place, not everyone else.

I'll just assume you are probably trolling at this point. However since I'm nice, I'll leave this thread open. If this discussion continues going anywhere it will be locked and later deleted.

Anyways recap on why your argument is flawed:
Cutting stone and chopping wood gives you both wood and coins. This means that chopping wood to get 120 wood + 20 coins =/= 20 coins. If anything, mathematically for that to be true, wood would have to have a value of 0. Same goes for stone.

Bomb Jumping is an intended mechanic. Blowing up your teammates bombs is not. Whether this should be changed is up for debate however.

No one is nitpicking. You are. If people are taking major part of your arguments and destroying them, then your evidenced was not support. It's called deconstructing an argument.

True story: I'm the only here who's posted any evidence directly from the game.

In order to get 20 coins to buy a bomb, you have to chop 120 wood.

I've explained the time and effort required to obtain a bomb in a single sentence very specifically.

None of you have posted a picture of a spike pit that you want analyzed in terms of time and effort.

I'll do the analysis, (don't worry), and explain to you in very simple concrete terms why my viewpoint is correct.

Show me the spike pit to which you are referring to.

Your arguments are incredible vague and encourage off topic discussion, as well as side tracking.

Okay then, suppose you were an archer and shot somebody with a single charged arrow. Every time you hit someone with a fully charged arrow, you get 5 coins. I'm not sure if it HAS to be charged or not. Anyway, in theory, if you were to hit somebody 4 times, then you would get 20 coins. (5 goes into 20 4 times.) Is 120 wood equal to 4 arrows?

And how many arrows did you waste trying to hit someone?

Arrows (THAT HIT) is the key phrase.

I'd like to see you try hitting someone 4 times with just 4 arrows.

How much time does it take you to do so?

    This all factors in.

    Thank you, try again.

So, Brilly, can we see your evidence in the form of pictures from the game? So far, you haven't posted that much in that sort of area..

You cannot mathematically justify 120 wood being equal to 20 coins. It's just not sensible, plausible, or un-stupid to take that opinion, looking at the evidence. What you are truly talking about, in this respect (since you are technically refering to stone and coins, since wood =/= spikes), is the time it takes to gather coins in comparison to the time it takes to gather stone.
Then, you are trying to bridge that gap by saying that 1 bomb should be able to destroy as many spikes as can be created from stone mined in that time.

This argument is logically flawed. 20 coins can be gathered incredibly quickly, either through simply hitting someone 4 times, or through gathering resources.
Of course, the spikes laid before the round, in build time, are an exception to this, as they are made in order to make a defensible base. If you didn't have a base, the round could be over in the first wave, very easily, meaning that those spikes are necessary for the extension, and appeal, of playing a round. It is a fact that laying spikes down should not be instantly counterable, because that would make it difficult for the team that is on the defensive to play on the defensive.

Now, we can move on to your other points in the opening post.

I admit, this is something I am less happy about, but it simply means that your teammates need to be aware of their surroundings, as they should usually be. However, what it does mean is that a players bomb isn't rendered entirely useless against any number of enemies by them simply throwing it back! It is silly that you could render a bomb virtually harmless through simple throwing it, because it is totally realistic.

In fact, I believe your words to the idea of two bombs blowing one another up were: "TOTALLY REALISTIC AND PREDICTABLE!". I assume, therefore, that you respect realism, and so would understand my argument here.

The bombs of the enemies still detonate your bombs, which can cause a chain reaction, which is one factor that you seem concerned about. On the other hand, this is a fix that mostly affects team bombs; if you've never had any problems with teammates blowing you up, then you haven't played the game enough to even have a proper opinion on this. It was a real problem, a glitch and unintentional dilemma, which has now been fixed.
Throwing two bombs down can still be used, it just requires more skill than what would normally be the bare minimum to use it. I don't recognise it as a "pro skill", I would recognise throwing a bomb through the archer slot of an enemy tower a "pro skill".

Also, I think I could hit 4 people with 4 arrows...

Why are we only discussing shitty spike pits? Poorly designed traps should get blown up. Any decent spike trap is designed to take bomb damage, including pits.

It takes a skilled bomb-toss to disable a good trap. It's not a simple comparison of resource value. It's a contest of creativity and talent. Spikes should at least take damage the way that all other constructed blocks do.

I disagree.... This is meant to be a close to real life games and all of these 1.,2. and 3 should not be approved..

Dude, people can glide with their shields, and you're gonna tell me that these changes, which are entirely valid, should not be approved?

A game like this should require skill. Look at Contrary's posts, he explains it pretty well. Close to real life games... Pah! We've got zombies! If you call that "close to real life", then I don't know what kinda world you think we're living in. Realism is a good basis for games, but things like bomb jumping make the game more challenging, and thus more fun.

    Where's the dislike button...

    Dude,
    1. Bombs no longer wipe out spikes.

    2. Picking up an enemy bomb and throwing it will not save your teammates anymore.

    3. Bombs no longer detonate other bombs in close range, and will instead each explode in turn.

That's what makes the game more realistic and more fun to play. Bombs IRL will blow up spikes, Also 2. they do that in war. and 3 that will happen to.

Have you played this before? I'm not entirely sure what you're saying. Yes, bombs should blow up spikes, even if only a few at a time. If you grab an enemies grenade and put it back down, any fellow soldiers nearby will still get blown to pieces. That is also valid change. But number 3 makes the game require more skill. Realistic or not, it has a reason to be there.

This thread is getting to be a real problem, I believe there should be an option in the server setting for friendly fire.

I've been getting hassled for this opinion for quite some time.

Friendly fire means bombs from allies will kill you, arrows from allies will kill you, and I'm sorry, but every single game that has an option for friendly fire enabled is invariably what attracts all the pros from those games to that mode.

It takes real skill to deal with those additional challenges, and if you want to play a game mode made for babies, be my guest.

I like challenges, I now understand that most people here don't, so they want to set cruise control for their play style; they are satisfied with their skill level, AKA they feel no need to improve.

    See you in game.

Also: thanks to allknowingfrog and GloriousToast for posting some pits, I'll post the analysis later.

Maybe you should do some research first and you'd know that friendly fire (means bombs and arrows) is a server-side option. It's been that way for almost forever. The issue is that it was also available if you took it off in a way and now it got fixed.
