speaking of maps i thinks i may do a floating island with a tower.......

Good on you :) remember the island will have to be a certain size to stop it from collapsing on a break of a block.

Each section of that will collapse.. Join them together with some backwall (dirt t make it look naturaly) so all are connected someway. Then it may have a big enough size of blocks to not collapse once you break a block.
Also may I suggest putting some grass on the dirt? It makes it look a lot more better :)
And people always look for hiding/camping spots on RTDM maps so they will probably end up digging out a lot of blocks to make it so the enemy can't jump over, you got to be on the lookout for stuff like that.

Also you may want to raise the sky level a tad for an extra effect of floating.

I am making arena maps ATM. For Soulrealms knight 1v1 competition so I'm wondering what would you guys like in Arena's?

-flatness?
-hills?
-a hill in the middle?
-tunnels?
-tree's?

Need thoughts on this so jump on it.

 

Maybe make it flat with a little dip in the middle?

Also according to that vote up there looks like I'll be working on some exploring maps and obstacle courses.

Also I have to make peter's map like I promised so there is more coming. :D

 

Yay more maps :D maybe what you should do is make a vote so we choose which of your maps is our favorites so everyone chooses one and we see which is the best :D I like the bridgeofdeath the best like a lot of people :D

Also I need to fix the updated maps on the first page to make it neater but I'm pretty flat out ATM so if a forum mod could do it I will love you thank you

How big?
So like with caves and castles and such?

 

Like, lots of caves, scary cliffs, maybe some peasant hovels and towns.
Very Large Map
with enough open space to build some castles and forts and towers and such.

 

I might enter this in guro's comp as well if you don't mind :)
It's going to be round about 750 by 230 high. Is this to big or small? It takes quite a while to walk the hole map.
Any things you want to request to be in it?
I have a huge cliff face over the left, a temple in the middle, some caves, trees, a gorge, and a moat for the castle,
The air space is a bit empty so maybe a floating island? And a huge labyrinth of tunnels underground?
Also is this for a gold server?

And I will place multiple tents :) Goodo will work on it more tonight as I gotta go the dentists now :P

 

I thought it crashes over 400 wide. That's what I've heard anyway.

 

Nah there all just noobs..

Me and 5 others were making the different sections of the map on my server.
And I was hosting on slowed Internet.

I could get my computer to do a 1500 - 500 but that was aimlessly to big so I changed it down more. Plus if someone wanted to play on a big server like that they better have a decent comp.
